  • Allan Houston--tips hat...

  • STFU ASTRO

  • Wasnt this the year the knicks upset like every one? They beat the heat with this shot, and then didnt larry johnson hit that 4 point play that sent them to the finals?

  • @MBiornfence Yep. Knicks upset the rival Heat, swept the Mutombo led Hawks, and got revenge against Reggie Miller's Pacers. They were on a roll that year's playoffs.

  • i dont like the new sound of youtube when you thumbs up a comment

  • PJ Brown's face was priceless.

  • i think the reason this is in a higher plce then the nuggets was because these guys went all the way to the finals

  • The Knicks were better than thier seed because of injuries and lockout. A good team that peaked late; like a boss.

  • This wasnt a surprise to me, looking into the season - there were only 50 games sometimes 3 in a row because of the time. I doubt that any team belonged to their respective seed in the conference. Maybe Miami was #1 throughout but the Knicks would've went up if the season was a normal one.

  • They've missed one game - 1995 IND ORL Game 4 Conf Finals, 4 lead changes in the last 13.3 sec with Shaq fouled out. Penny, Reggie, Smit etc best playoff game finish ever

  • "the 100 million dollar shot" smh...sometimes i wish he didnt make it lol

  • how about that game last night

  • Sprewell and Houston...

    that was the shit

  • Judging by the crowd's reaction, you'd think this game was at Madsion Square...

  • @CoolerKing37 Yeah those Knick/Heat games always drew a a good deal of Knick fans to the arena. Its the same with any Miami/New York sports game down here.

  • 0:18 ....whats that guy's name??

  • @jlimproj thik it was PJ brown former NJ net could well be wrong dont quote me.

  • @fazman52 I think he played on Orlando

  • @jlimproj yeah that's pj brown .. gritty player for the heat .. finally got his title with the 08 celtics

  • the 1 dislike is pat riley

  • @frenchiejr00 lol

  • great moment and all, but how in the hell is this supposed to be a bigger moment than the Nuggets over the Sonics? Who is ranking this?

  • I went absolutely insane when Houston made this. When it hit the front of the rim I got terrified, then when it bounced in I lost it. Unbelievable series and chapter in the Knicks-Heat rivalry which in my opinion was one of the best to watch (with a dog in a fight). Don't know why so many people knocking the Knicks as an 8 over 1 upest...the Nuggets, Warriors, and Knicks upsets were all remarkable.

  • I remember this series I was pretty in shock. I think they actually made it all the way to the finals which was really impressive since each series they were threatening to fire van gundy if the team didnt advance to the next round rofl

  • One of the worst moments in Miami sports history. Just add it to the list.

  • Comment removed

  • #1 over #8 but I think Miami only had a 7 game lead on NY coming into the playoffs because of the lockout. Not near as big as Denver over Seattle or Golden State over Dallas.

  • wait the knicks were in the playoffs?

  • @rocketballa4life Yeah they were an 8th seed. They beated the whole Eastern Conference but they lost the Spurs in the Finals.

  • Let's hope this happens again soon... ;)

  • CLASSIC! This should have been higher!

  • lol back when the knicks were good.

  • @cybill234 when he hit that shot I knew we were goin to beat Atlanta then Indiana they had nothin to lose they were a good 8th seed team.

  • im not sure but didnt the knicks go all the way to the finals then lose to the spurs?

  • look at all those classic players on ny

even heat, good ole days :(

  • ya know this moments kinda crazy cuz while the game is close that one bounce ends the heat season, but in all honesty they rushed their last attempt, he was almost near halfcourt (the guy who shot it for the heat), but its just a surreal moment and they lost it, they were up, and then they lost

  • The biggest upset is in 2007 Warriors (8) over Mavs (1)

  • Yeah. Baron Davis, J-Rich, Ellis. Wasn't a bad team, that's for sure.

  • @Sly5man

You're only half right. In 1994 the 8th seed Denver Nuggets upset the #1 seed Seattle Supersonics in the first round.

The year before the Sonics had made it to the West Finals as the #2 seed losing to Barkley and the Suns. Then in '94 they lost game 5 at home to the Nuggets w/ the infamous camera shot of Dikembe laying on the court.

Eventually, many of the same core Sonic players, Gary Payton, Sean Kemp, Sam Perkins and Nate McMillan got to the NBA finals in '96 vs MJ's Bulls.

  • Yes but the Mavs reached the Finals the year prior and had the best record in the league, while the warriors had to win 9 of their last 10 including a win AND a loss that night by the clippers just to get in

  • @maxedwell well 1 of the reasons why I think that it was the biggest upset, is that the record of Mavs 67-15, {which is big nowadays), and warriors was 42-40, and the difference is quite big. But its just my opinion, that's all.

  • were is he right now?? is he retired?

  • I forget exactly how the Knicks were an 8 seed that season. Wasnt this the lockout season? If the Knicks were good enough to knock off #1 seed and go all the way to the Finals then why were they at an 8th seed?

  • They had the 8th best Win/Loss Ratio in the east that year.

  • i believe since with only 50 games any losing streak could kill ur chances, but the sucked until the final 15 games or so and snuck in, and then just made a run during the playoffs, so we'll never exactly know how that team wouldve turned out over a full season

  • @playoffexpert1 - "but the sucked until the final 15 games or so and snuck in" A bunch of guys that did not know each other, did then "gel" as a team, and were then playing the best basketball in the eastern conference. If Ewing did not go down, they might have won.

  • @bigdaddymatty17 - "If the Knicks were good enough to knock off #1 seed and go all the way to the Finals then why were they at an 8th seed" Bunch of new guys got to know and trust each other late in the season.

  • Good thing Miami came up with a championship though.

  • the magic and the knicks are my teams but i remember this moment when allan houston hit that shot me my brother all the knicks fan went crazy

  • only if they knicks wre like that now. sigh

  • Did the Heat get off a shot after Houston's shot?

  • ya they did. almost went in too.

  • Lock out or not...

    8 seed over 1 seed

    is impressive

  • @mister528 fuck the knicks... Dwade/Lebron > Amare/Melo

  • Best part about the Knicks/Heat rivalry was all the New York fans that took over those games in Miami. Listen to the roar after Houston's shot falls - that place was almost like the mini-Garden.

  • it wasnt a greater upset than the nuggets.. cuz nuggets WERE DOWN 2-0.. and won 2 games ..game 5..nuggets forced overtime and beat the sonics...

  • @KiPwnNubs It's very close...especially since the Nuggets lost the next round and the Knicks went to the FINALS

  • @KiPwnNubs But Knicks made it to the Finals

  • and also..this was a lock down season..miami might not be NO.1 if this wasnt a lock out.

  • you are a moron

  • this was that season the nba went on strike and it was a short season so i dont really kno if you would call this an upset

  • uhh dipshit an 8th seed over a 1st seed!!!!! u cant possibly be this retarded

  • the warriors played like a 4 seed

    not an 8

    your not 2 bright huh

  • u might want to check your facts dumbshit.. and u can google it for all i care, and i also dont give a rats ass if u think the GSW played as a 4th seed because fact is..... they were an 8th seed who knocked off a 1st seed MAVERICKS team, that was my point, u stupid reterded shit for brains motherfucker get a fucking life..commenting on my 7 month old reply..lol what a fucking douchebag for sports knoweldge....haha.here google this... 2007 NBA playoff picture...since u think im not 2 bright.lol

  • And you took the time to respond

    lol.

  • Btw,

I love all your thumbs down on your comments

You truly have knowledge of the game, I see..

    ;)

  • yeah because a dumb ass retard by the name of word85208 clicked on it 3 time...lol wtf ROTF u cant even back up or reply on everything i said, so either make a point or fuck off asswipe

  • You can only click on it once ;)

Just shows you need to leave.

  • Sense0with0humor has no basketball knowledge, I feel like i'm arguing with a 13 y/o. why is this?

    Because he is 13.

  • IMO the biggest 1st rd upset was seattle-denver in 94'...but houston's last second shot here is probably the most memorable moment of a seed 1-seed 8 upset.

  • Nah Golden State over Dallas in 2007 is the biggest 1st round upset in my book, the Warriors had the greatest home court advantage of any team in sports history probably

  • The warriors mavs series wasnt really a 8 vs. 1

in my opinion, even though it was on paper. The Warriors were damn good and if they didn't play the Jazz in the semi's they could of easily got to the

    WCF

  • I don't know if the Warriors could have beaten the Spurs; the Suns, yes, but the Spurs? I doubt it.

  • What is the name of this song?

  • i miss series like this.

  • I'm a Laker fan, but I miss the days when the Knicks were competive.

  • me 2

  • he sure did show alot of emotion at this end of this clip...

that team coached by Jeff V. Gundy was one of those teams that would smack you in the mouth and ask you... if you wanted seconds.

  • Why the fuck did Sprewell quit basketball at such a young age?

  • b/c he felt offended by the offer the t-wolves gave to him.

how can u feed ur kids on 'only' 8 million a year?

always liked the dude's game on the court...total idiot off it and when he opens his mouth

  • there's more to it than that. you don't retire because of that, i just think he didnt enjoy basketball anymore . . . .

  • lol look at PJ BROWN face he look stuck lol

  • THE team of destiny...the 1999 New York Knicks.

  • Knicks good times !!!

  • Look at Latrell Sprewell at the end of the clip trying to choke Larry Johnson and Allan Houston at the same time while they are jus trying to celebrate allan houston's shot... He jus doesnt learn his lesson from choking P.J. Carlisimo... LOL...

  • Clutch shot by Allan Houston, the last great Knicks moment

  • at 0:17 - "HOUSTON" those his best Jermaine O'Neal impression!!

  • as a Pacers fan. Man Allan Houston had the purest shot back then. He could do it all for the Knicks late 90's/early 00's

  • one guy said that every penny Houston got from knicks was worth that shot. I agree, miami SUCKS

  • this is one of my favorite games. an injured and battle worn ewing carries the knicks in this game.

  • ewing iz a poster board lmao

  • he did end up on alot of posters but he is a warrior

  • yeaaa

  • im sensing sarcasm lol

  • sarcasm? where the sarcasm in that lol

  • lol he punches the ball

  • upset

  • my favorite playoff moment

    8 seed over 1 seed

  • Last time i was truly happy as a knicks fan was this season. =) memories

  • LETS GO KNICKS!

  • Seriously, me too. A decade of failure now. God why did they trade Randolf and Crawford?
