this for some reason sounds sped up

It could be. I copied it off a cassette I got 25 years ago which was copied from something else and so it may well have distorted in the process.

forgot to say thanks for posting this. I read lee underwood's book recently and he said tim had a tendency to tell stories lol. i'm not sure if i believe the roger mcguinn story.
