  • so u cannot bath your cat when it has fleas? or throws up on itself? or has given birth? it's cruel NOT to give them baths if they need one.

  • Cats clean them self. I dont even own a cat and I know that. If you want to introduce cat to element of water, at least do it by sitting in the bath with them. Maus may like water, but this is not the way to make them enjoy it.

  • Poooorrrr Cat !!!!Stupide adult !

  • HUMAINS IGNORANTS! Les chats n'ont pas besoin de bains, ce ne sont pas des chiens ! ils se lavent seuls et détestent l'eau ! Ce que vous faites là est une vrai torture ! !!!!!!!

  • Kitty says booo

  • translation: me hates water

  • Aww... poor squeaky little baby.

  • OMG this is upsetting to watch cats obvs dont like water and everyone knows that ...........

  • So let me get this straight. When a cat gets gross things on its body, we should let it lick off the gross things, let it get sick... instead of bathing it? No. That's evil. That's terrible care for a pet.

When we last moved, our cat managed to get some gunk in her fur, and we had to bathe her. She recovered really fast, though. It is not torture, and it does not traumatize them. They just don't like water but they're fine once they dry.

  • Also, not all cats hate baths, it depends on how early you start giving them baths. I started bathing my cat around 7 weeks old, in very shallow water, mostly to get the crap out of her eyes, and she doesn't mind baths. You may be right about this being a 'sensitive breed' and bathing less often, but that doesn't mean you should never bathe cats, ever.

  • I love all the ignorant people who rant about people bathing cats. Yes, cats bathe themselves, but there's also places they can't reach, fur can become matted, they develop a nasty musk if not bathed fairly regularly. It doesn't hurt the cat, and when they're young it helps to wash their faces of the gunk around their eyes. It's not torture, unless bathing an unwilling child is torturing that child. In which case, I hope you never have children.

  • cats wash themselves!

  • this is the one thing you shoudnt do to cats. they hate water as you can tell my the squeaking, its like torture for them !!!

  • @theginachine so if you have a orphaned kitten that can't clean itself and gets gunk all over it's fur you're just gonna let is get all matted and have to shave it?

  • cats should not be cleaned by humans they bath themselves. The only time you should clean a cat is if it has come in contact with a skunk or has a skin problem and the vet has prescribed it. Poor cat.

  • I hope you know you aren't supposed to do this often (i.e. more than once a year) because Maus have sensitive skin and bathing can irritate them. Cats generally don't need baths anyway... Also, they hate it.

  • cat doesnt approve.

  • I agree with Sing Tunes. You can take a stocking/pantyhose, put the hose over your hand and "brush" the cat. Works like a charm.

  • Awww This is so adorable! I want an Egyptian Mau!

  • Bathing this breed cat actually isn't neccessary unless they are suspected to have a skin problem. They usually just need brushing and you can also clean their ears with a wet cloth. Their a very sensitive breed.

  • Cute! Not happy about the bath. : )
