  • I am not a medical professional nor do I claim to be, but i must say Dr. Carl, for someone who is supposed to be educated you def. come across as seemingly ignorant and relatively closed minded. As far as your title "Dr." goes . . .are you an MD or do you hold a PhD? From what I know, you dont even necessarily need a bachelors degree to become a chiropractor. How does your education/knowledge compare to a person who completes upwards of 10 years of school, multiple degrees and residency?

  • relaxing and informative video, really enjoyed watching it!!!

  • good job doc you made it look so easy any tips for a stiff neck?

  • Quack.

  • @xxdiogenescynicxx, Wow, you're a Duck, aren't you?

can you do something like this to help a pinched nerve??

i have a pinched nerve in my lower back..

  • HOLY SHIT IT'S AL GORE!!!

  • reminds me of glenn beck.

  • Great video.

  • i am waiting for this for many months i just had a ski accident and recovering in sweden. so my chiroprac said only after maybe 3 months i can get all of my neck cracked and other parts...oh this is like watching a great thing!!

  • @0neofthem chiro isn't all about cracking joints

if you do it wrong you will eventually fuck up your joints.

  • ha ha ha i love ur comment i agree just get ur mate or wife 2 crack ur back and dont pay silly money they are just fucking con artists

  • its not that much

  • yeah I mean if I go to a chiropractor - chiroPRACtor, I want to hear that CRUNCH sound LOL

  • Yeah, these guys are doctors. I mean "doctors" (wink).

  • @edwdixon5 Does that mean that they "practice" like doctors (grin)?

  • @DraftMasterJohn Honestly, I don't believe they know any more than a good masseuse. I believe actual doctors are highly trained scientists whose skills are based on research and evidence, not some quack who came up with an unproven notion.

  • @edwdixon5 Respectfully. Your intitled to your opinion. I think there are well trained, well researched reps for both sides and also loonies for both sides. I once had my cholesteral tested by a particular doctor...

  • @edwdixon5 ...He said it was high so I happened to ask, "my bad chol., my good chol, or both?" and he responded with something like, "...what? theres good cholesteral too?. I got up, walked out, never paid, spoke to, or heard from him again. I don't even know if he still has an office. Now given he is the exception and the only really bad doctor I have ever had evidence of. Though, there must be a few on both sides of the spectrum.

  • @edwdixon5 i am a massage therapist and I have worked for 3 chiropractors in the past. It is a total scam. They spend huge amounts of time and money at practice building seminars in order to learn gow to fleece people.I would never recommend one

  • Thank you for sharing this! Please view my videos and let me know if I can be of any assistance to you.

    - Dr. Gatza

  • Nice video, by the way.

  • Out of curiosity, why are you using the outdated term "allopathy"? Currently it's only used by practitioners of non-traditional medicine as a means of belittlement. So the use of a pejorative term while presenting "facts" that you aren't providing citations for makes your entire approach seem disingenuous.

Bear in mind, I'm not criticizing chiropractic medicine. I'm criticizing your language and attitude.

  • sir your tie and top dress shirt button makes it look like you just got done drinking after work.

  • i have always cracked my own neck and had my back done at home by a family member. i never had any problems whatsoever until i went to see a so called renowned chiropractor in san diego. the guy used so much pressure to crack my back that he fractured my chest plate. i was in so much pain, and to top it off they were so hot after the insurance money that they scorned me for not coming in after a week, and told me it was something i did to myself. glorified backcrackers...thats all they r.

  • Medical doctors kill over 500,000 a year with properly prescribed medications. That doesent make them all bad. I am sorry for your experience.

  • im sorry i am not in a position to say whether your field is legitimate or not, but i am angry that a chiropractor damaged me for life.yes doctors make mistakes too, and thats the biggest reason that i chose to birth my child outside of a hospital if that makes u feel any better. as long as your patients r happy i commend you for doing a good job. take care

  • ermmm doctors don't "kill" over 500,000 people a year, they fail to successfully cure them. Idiot

  • Last year, the pharmaceutical industry did $182 billion in drug sales world wide. In contrast to that figure, it cost approximately $183 billion to treat adverse reactions from all of those drugs. The following admissions were taken from JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) : The top five causes of death in the United States, in order, are:

    1) Tobacco

    2) Alcohol

    3) Medical malpractice

    4) Traffic accidents

    5) Firearms

  • According to JAMA, doctors kill more people than auto accidents and guns put together. The number of people that doctors kill per day from allopathic medical malpractice is roughly equal to the amount of people that would die if every day, three jumbo jets crashed and killed everybody on board.

  • The British Medical Journal Lancet states that only one percent of all scientific research papers which explore medicine are scientifically sound. So, if that is true, then not only are allopathic doctors incorrect in their understanding of the basic nature of disease, they are basing their conclusions, and therefore their diagnosis and treatment of people, on flawed science. And it is killing us.

  • My point was that just because 1 chiropractor hurt someone it does not make the entire profession bad. Just as the medical stats does not make the mecial profession bad. I work in a hospital and most of my paitents come from medical referrals. I hope you can see that point. Have a great day.

  • @drcarlrafey My Grandpa has issues with his Sciatica nerve. He received three treatments from a chiropractor and is feeling much better. The man who used to limp strongly to the right now walks on even keel. I used to think Chiropractics was a quack science, but if it helps people, who gives even the slightest shit?

  • my father was a doctor. he lost his medical liscence for permanently disabling a 2 yr old because of a stupid mistake. dont tell people to get over things like being mauled by someones carelessness until you know how it feels. maybe u need someone to fuck you or your kid up then maybe u can just"get over it". dont fucking email me again shitbag.

  • Don't rip on me just coz your dad was a shit doctor, whining little pussy bitch

  • thats one example of 6 or 7 cases i experienced first hand within less than ten yrs. honestly i dont care wht you say abt my dad- he was a good dr , but he made a shitty mistake once. DOCTORS ARE NOT GODS, THEY MAKE FATAL MISTAKES, whether they r tired..stressed, or nervous- my point is that THEY DO FUCKUP , and happens more often than u realise becuz ur a peckerhead, insulting, bothering and being a smart ass. ur tha little puss wit no life nthing better 2 do than insult strangers on utube.

  • your story makes me giggle

  • @jonlscott well giggle ur happy ass off. im happy for you.

  • Dr. Scott Reuben was the man who was the top resercher for proveingthat chiroractic care doesnt work other doctors recited his findings saying chiropractic care causes any kind of damage

he was paid by the pharmacuticals companies to give positive reserch for painkiller brands and negetive reserch for chiropractic care, hes now been charged and convicted of creating fulty reserch, includeing that od the chiropractors, your only evidence is now been proven false, theres no more reports to back u

  • @needabloodyname I think the chiropractic market is bullshit as well, and I think that many chiropractors irresponsibly promise people benefits that are not physically possible. On the other hand, chiropractic adjustments are good for legit neck and back problems. However, the necessity of regular adjustments is also in question. If you're a regular healthy person, you probably don't need to go each week. However, it is definitely is a $20 billion bullshit market.

  • @vidaligodude Your claims, sir, are bullshit. You have no idea what you are talking about. The chiropractic industry has brought many people to enjoy their lives, unlike allopathic medicine which deludes and destroys. You DO need to go each week to be properly aligned, to be healthy. Anything otherwise is a fallacy.

  • @SethGrossChiro Then educate me. Prove to me that chiropractic adjustments prevent:

    -Cancer

    -Infection

    -Viruses

    -Bacteria

    -Chemical imbalances within internal organs

    -Brain damage

-Death and the breakdown of genetic structure

  • @vidaligodude quit your moaning. jeeez get over it.

  • @SethGrossChiro What's that? You can't because there's no reason why cracking your bones would do that? *GASP* NO!!!! IT CAN'T BE SO!!!!!

And if you've never heard of it, one of the biggest reasons why alternative medicine is so popular (and yes, I include chiro in the category) is because of the placebo effect. People believe what they want to believe, and if someone tells them what they want to hear, all the data in the world won't convince them. Case in point: You.

  • @vidaligodude hahahahahahaha you sound like a girl with your bitchin

  • @needabloodyname I also happen to be addicted to the cracking sound. That's just me.

  • @drcarlrafey Now that's balls. Never heard the "well, medical science is a bunch of crap too" defense before. Like a psychic saying sometimes meteorologists get it wrong. Just brilliant. You get points for that one.

  • @drcarlrafey Well, The Lancet, being made up of those killers and quacks (as you say) of medicine, wouldn't have much standing then either, would it? Direct us to that article or I'd surmise this is another simplistic mischaracterization based on no evidence and no real understanding. Kind of like...

  • neighbor died from allergic reaction to an antibiotic i would say it killed him

  • @needabloodyname, I've heard of a sore loosing, I've heard of a sore winner, but I have never heard of an inspired looser before reading your rants to the poster of this video. I don't know if there are two other people who try so hard to be hot headed and on the loosing end of an arguement like you do. You have my appreciation and simpathy.

  • @needabloodyname sorry dude 500,000 people die from drug overdoses and misdiagnoses a year, im not against you but thats the facts, but really thats a hell alot lower then the amount they save, like i said im not against you

  • @jonlscott Hey man, you are probly correct, i never disputed that fact. It just anoyed me how arrogant this asshole is. He is probly bitter that he isn't a real doctor and nobody takes his profession seriously. He is like the scientology of medicine

  • @needabloodyname That is factually incorrect. Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the article in JAMA re. the fact that medical errors are the third leading cause of death in the United States of America.

  • @BackCarePlus i thought the third biggest cause of death was yo fat momma eating people

  • Shit Happens, grow a pair anf get over it

  • Do you believe in Subluxation theory?

  • I want this!!!

  • "That sound you hear is popping, and that's the joints releasing nitrogen into the joints."

  • the bursa sac popping actually

  • lmao did anyone else laugh at 1:47?

  • ya lol, this was funny

  • It's relaxing just to watch.

  • even if theres nothing wrong, the cracking still feels good in the back and neck :D

  • @ImayStalkU I absolutely agree. It does feel good. It feels good when I get my hair cut too, but I don't call it brain surgery and the guy doesn't call himself "doctor."

  • I get really bad upper back and shoulder aches, and feel the need to crack my neck multiple times a day. Would a chiropractor be able to help me?

  • Yes, they would.

  • most definetly. although you feel you need to crack your neck you shoudl refrain from doing so as it is impossible to re-align your own spine and will cause further issues. I would suggest seeing a chiropractor asap. You will feel so much better after the DC adjusts you neck and spine. It doesnt hurt and in fact feels great. You will walk out of the office standing with better posture.

  • you will also not feel the need to crack your own neck throughout the day as your neck and spine will be adjusted and alligned properly.

  • Hey um how severe of neck or back pains do chiropractors give you shots? For years Ive had tensity in my muscles and might be going to a chiropractor im terrified but i heard they really help I DO NOT WANT A SHOT!!!!!!!!!!

  • no they dont give you shots

  • chiropractors do not prescribe medicine as they are not proper physicians...

  • they prescribe medicine in new mexico

  • What is a sublexation?

  • I really like these videos. I learn a lot from them. Thanks!

  • I think the doc meant "20" patients. The extra zero was a typo.

  • how much does these sessions cost? I really need a visit asap

  • The adjusment fee for a Cash Adjustmetn is 20.

  • Baby twisting, pseudo science proliferating, quack mother fuckers!

  • Nice...Please show me your research and background besides your obvious emotional attatchments to your feelings

  • What a beautiful profession, many people have been healed from many pains by chiropractors, sadly they are still persecuted by the medical establishment despite it's been proven they can truly heal.

  • name me one peer-review, randomized control trial with a good design that shows that chiropractic can "heal".

  • Check JMTP, Go to Pub med and you will find Many, If it did not allow the body to function and heal itself then the profession would not still be around. I see over 200 people a day. If it did not work why would people keep coming and paying???

  • The fact that people "keep coming back and paying" is no argument. Chrios use all types of techniques to get people to return to their practice for another manipulation, the most common of which is "if you aren't adjusted regularly enough, the correction won't be effective. so i should see you eight times in the next 4 weeks."

If you work a 10 hour day and worked and saw 200 patients a day, that would mean you see one person every three minutes, non-stop, without a break. You, sir, are a liar.

  • I am sorry for your ignorance. Where do you get your objective information. Or is it just your "feelings". I have many clinical studies. I practice in a hospital and most of my patinets come from Medical Referrals. Please foward me your journal articles regarding tricks to get people to pay and come back.

  • Obviously you are not going to change my opinion because I really dont care what you think about it because I live it every day, and I dont think I will change your emotional opinion.. So Have a great day

  • I honestly believe that people are smarter than that, If I felt no better I would not keep paying. I have many Medical Doctors and Nurses as patients. I do not lie. I work from 730 to 730.

  • So you work a 12 hour day and, provided you take no breaks, you see a patient every 3.6 minutes. You continue this non-stop until you have seen 200 of them. Sorry, still a liar!

  • Please tell me where your reasearch is that it does not work, Most people on this issue just base it on feelings.

  • Chiropractic was founded in 1895 by DD Palmer, a grocer with an intense interest in metaphysics.Prior to his discovery of chiropractic,Palmer was a magnetic healer. He also had interests in phrenology and spiritualism.Palmer reported to have "discovered" chiropractic when he allegedly cured a janitor of his deafness by manipulating his neck (the fact that the nerve which conveys sound information from the ears to the brain does not pass through the neck did not seem to bother him).

  • you mean it was "invented" It wasn't founded or discovered like you claim.

  • Chiropr J Aust 2002 (Mar); 32 (1): 1426

  • The reasons for loss of hearing are more than just the cranial nerves

  • Pray tell how segmental spinal nerves can contribute to loss of hearing.

  • Chiropractic & Osteopathy 2006 (Jan 19); 14 (1): 2

  • CONCLUSIONS: A percentage of patients presenting to the chiropractor have a mild to moderate hearing loss, most notably in the right ear. The clinical progress documented in this report suggests that manipulation delivered to the neuromusculoskeletal system may create central plastic changes in the auditory system.

  • Conclusions: Chriopractic & Osteopathy is not a well-recognized peer-reviewed journal. I'm no neurologist, but I took a 16 week elective period in neurology and have many neurologist colleagues, and NONE of them would support this opinion.

  • lol that neck break at the beginning was scary reminded me of jacobs ladder.

  • wat?

  • themovie jacobs ladder there is a scene where a chyropracter is doing a neck adjustment and breaks his neck.

  • You have to apply a lot of pressure to break someone's neck.

  • 66 pounds.

  • this happens in chiropractic "adjustments" as well.

  • I want to get chiropractic work done! It looks like it feels SOOO good! I get my bro to pop my back and I pop his and it feels good

  • go get a massage then.

  • No chiro's around my place though

  • I have had it done, it feels REALLY good

  • A professional videographer would give you more light

  • You're right!

  • very homoerotic.

  • Excellent

  • good job Doc.

i was thinking about being a chiropractor once i finish my years in high school and go to college.

  • you want to be a con man?
