All animals look miserable behind bars and other than serving a purpose for educating people on species and helping the breeding program to help avoid extinction, zoos serve no other purpose. In the wild the mere task of survival is difficult for these animals. In a zoo they are well fed and well looked after, sure they are wild and it is not natural but a lot of these animals don't know any different.
I have been to some depressing zoos that make you disgusted, but this footage is nothing like those. The music is FAR too overdramatic for the rather ordinary scenes being displayed. Try harder.

I used to work at Melbourne Zoo as a teenager Abby,In those days the Tiger and Lions and other had only cages,and ALL they could do was pace continuously!A llot has been done to make improvements with"open enclosures" trying to emulate natural habitat! We'll never get it right by caging animals,but we do need breeding programs to stop them becoming extinct.Unfortunately this cant be done in the wild,cos of some greedy shits! I love animals and I wish I could help in some way,not simply comment!

This is amazing, I cried just watching it. When I go to the Zoo I sit there watching the animals feeling sad that they are trapped there. I used to work at Melbourne Zoo as a teenager Abby,In those days the Tiger and Lions and other had only cages,and ALL they could do was pace continuously!A llot has been done to make improvements with"open enclosures" trying to emulate natural habitat! We'll never get it right by caging animals,but we do need breeding programs to stop them becoming extinct.Unfortunately this cant be done in the wild,cos of some greedy shits! I love animals and I wish I could help in some way,not simply comment!

Animals are our enimies, I'm not a cruel person, i dont hurt animals, all we need them for is food. If they could think as we do, they would choose us "HUMANITY" to die, bcos all we do is hurt and kill them, we take away there natural. Personally I hate humas beings becasue of this, I'm ashamed that we have done this to animals, But the fact is I'm human... and I cant change that so... I guess its up to us to kill in order of self preservation.

This video makes me angry for a number of reasons. Being an animal lover myself I don't believe in animal cruelty but i do believe that zoos do a wonderful job.
How do you know this is true? I think you are just wanting people to say "oh wow shes so cool, sticking up for animals".. when really youre just really ignorant.
most of those animals were probably in a zoo for a particular reason. the keepers did not just grab them out of the wild and stick them in cages for people to watch. Really

This is amazing, I cried just watching it. When I go to the Zoo I sit there watching the animals feeling sad that they are trapped there. I get so angry with the people taking photo and complain when an animal is sleeping or calling the animal stupid if they don't stand still. :-( <3 this video and the unheard thoughts and feelings of animals.

Great video! In a way you could of just use the caption "why?" pains me so much to see any form of cruelty against animals :( but like you I can't say I'm against zoo's. Some do the needed job of saving many species that we have wipped out in the wild. So it's hard to hate on them.
