I personally feel Typhon is one of the few things from the Greek myths that's actually downgraded in this game. In the original myths he wasn't a titan, he was immortal monster born after the defeat of the titans that sent all the gods except Zeus running in fear. He fought Zeus, and was described as tossing a mountain at him, but still lost. After being locked away, met an nymph named Echinda, and the two of the spawned most of the monsters in the Greek myths.

Every one you kill unleashes some of his power or something and after you destroy enough kratos absorbs it, grows to gigantic size, and takes Typhon on in an epic battle

What I was figuring would be Kratos would start as a giant, but Typhon is so big that he's still a giant boss, would've have some brutal fire attacks since he was associated with volcanoes, and chuck giant pieces of scenery and let loose shockwaves, since he should be something that comes as being more than just a large boss like Cronos and Persus.

@hanji0 assuming ure still stuck like on that ledge u jump back onto after getting typhones bane u shoot his eye till he gets all pissy then go back down there should be destroyable rocks u can well destroy then swing across go back to where prometheus is and shoot him down with the bow. and then well yeah its basically a straight run back to ur horsey after that :D

If I remember right, just press and hold the R2 button and the arrows automatically are strung and ready to fire. You will have to hit the X button (if I remember right it's the X button) to fire them and you can shoot as fast as you can push the button. They give you instructions on how to fire the weapon when you first get the bow. You'll get instructions with every weapon you acquire on how to use it. If you haven't played GOW or GOW 2 I highly recommend them. Great great great games.

PS2 help: When you go to the fire, grab the enemies with O and throw them at the fire with square. Make sure the fire is highlighted when you throw.
