  • It stops raining on a summers day you go out to capture 10 minutes of Sunshine an the Friggin Midges swarm, you slap on the Midgey cream and it starts to rain, its so unfair no wonder there are so many pasty faced Scots with a drink problems. Pity we cant lure them all over the border.....

  • If you go to Loch Lomand be prepared to go to bed early and if camping take a mosquito net and cover yourself in anti midge oil or cream, you will need it.There is nothing sly about them, you know immediatly when they bite,no size but they hurt like hell.

  • they only bite non-Scots...

  • well, they bite a lot of Central Belt-ers...

but we Highlanders and ilk seem to be immune :D

  • Love it.I remember the midges very wel.

  • I hope they're not responsible for makin' you leave scotland Shona :) Looks like your a runrig fan, me too, love their music.

  • No not the midges. My mom and dad. They refused to leave me behind. That was when kids obeyed their parents.

  • ;) indeed. My friend is coming over from Vancouver in september and we'll be taking a trek up north so I hope the midges are hibernating by then :) All the best Shona
