@Venddenta i listen to many different kinds music. but have strong preferences for certain genres , which has come to be a part of who i am over the years. i can understand what your saying, but for me, my fetish for heavy music lies within the sonic aspects....ie.. heavy distortions and low end, blast beats etc.. rather than actual "musicianship" or talent. these sounds and the stigmas associated with them seem to trigger my imgination in a positive way and bring me happiness/

A very atmospheric and scenic album cover, but the song sounds generic and unoriginal with those uncomfortable noises that come from an animal we all know as a pig. Credit to the drummer though, and the guitarists put up some effective riffs.

Obscura is a good choice too(and the bassist plays fretless). Last time I checked Spawn of Possession and Necrophagist don't have a lot of gain or treble in their tone, their tone is alot cleaner that Slayer imo.
