It uses the accelerometer to tell if its tilted on its side or not (one of the ways it switches sounds) so theres no IR involved.

Dude ur STUPID cause u need 2 hands and 1 leg 2 complete a note in norma, hard, and expert and ur unseccsessful Drum kit cant play 3 note at a time but only two. u cant Play a Kick and a Regular Note 2gether Cuase im a Drumer and there iz alot of Kick and 2 note.-_-

Bluetooth is a package you have to buy from a store with computer accesories (Circuit City, Best Buy, Radioshack). It's about 30-50 bucks.

i bet this question has been asked before but anyway. how do you setup all the programs to make it work. i downloaded the "wii play the drums" and WiimoteLib 1.2.1 and now what? first, it won't connect through bluesoleil (which i earlier used along with glovepie for other programs) so what drivers/programs shall i use to make wiimote work with this softwares? :D

great fun! took me nearly 2 hours to sync my wiimote for the first time! just make sure u hold down the 1 and 2 buttons..... doing this makes it bluetooth discoverable! yeah this is great fun. make sure u try it!

I think you should put the Kick on one of the nun-chuk buttons, only because the kick is played with your feet, so when you want to use the kick and play with both sticks, well, you can't xD .

You have to connect the Wiimote, then open the program, select a drum kit file, then plug in the Nunchuk, then play.

I just got that program, it's awesome! The sound is great and it's pretty good at detecting the motions.

what you need to do is get two motes with nunchucks, and put the nunchuks in your socks or sm, that way you have a bas drum, hi-hat pedal and two drumsticks
