  • Actually that car is quite fast and did well on the curves.

    Mariana Cordoba

  • Stupid car stupid people.... American cars r only good for straight line performance... can't even use em on the track

  • @TheAbdula86 Yeah that's why the Corvette ZR1 is the fastest production car ever around the Nurburgring, and the Cadillac CTS-V is the fastest production sedan around it. Last time I checked, the Nurburgring had a few turns on it.

  • @tpaladino And the last time I've check, those cars has to do with the Australians...

  • What ASSHOLE.......... start the engine and reving it while still cold.

  • Shitty sound

  • Yeah, rev that cold engine. Good job.

  • I think the Vector is more for people who love fantasy and science fiction and aren't just trying to attract the opposite sex

  • @1980MF1980 LOL!

  • @1980MF1980

    bingo

  • Gay vid

  • the car wx-3 was suspected to have 1200 hp to it. considering it never became a mass production car it remained a concept and never finsished the engine leavng it at a v-8. it was supposed to top 250+ and would have held the fastest production car title in its time. but i wish they did complete it cuz it wouldve been one helluva car to drive

  • I cringe everytime I see a vid like this where some meathead gets into a supercar, starts it and immediately revs it to like 5k while its still cold.

  • where was this at?

  • yea pitbiker98 we all believe you. hhmm, only 17 in the world, the odds are...yea your dad!

  • dad has 1:D

  • it was designed in the 80's bud. look at other 1000hp cars from the late 80's....oh ya this is the only one

  • look I'm not bashing the cars merits... but it IS damn ugly... from the front it's rather atractive, but from the side or rear it looks like it's from 1982, yet it was produced from !989 into the 90's...

and get your facts straight, the W8 wasn't anywhere near 1000hp! it was 625hp! 0-60 in 4.2 seconds, which isn't that great... a stock Z06 corvette is faster and doesn't have near the technological bragging rights...

  • ya this version only had 625 but the w2 in 1978 had 840 and the 1992 version had 1000, you cant tell me that is not unheard of in cars during that time.....and u cannot compare a new zo6 to a car from 1986 its just silly. Your comment was about it being ugly, so why are we talking horsepower? Back in the day that was the fastest shape they could come up with, it was a shape created in 1978 dude.

  • wrong again dude... the 1992 version was 625hp, and there were only 17 W8's ever made throughout their entire models existence... The W2 was over 600hp, most sources say 650hp and the prototype didn't even run until 79'. lastly, I'm not saying it wasn't advanced for it's time, but for that kind of money a standard C6 corvette is faster now, and they cost $40k and have less technology. My original statement still stands, the W8 is an ugly car... the rest is irrelevant.

  • how many would you beleve thats a nike air max sneaker?

  • AAAhHH I wanna drive it!!!

  • Car looks like a spaceship to me, what is awesome

  • does anyone realize that they didn't design this car for looks? They wanted to put aerospace tech into a car. Hence the honey comb body paneling, carbon fiber. Oh yeah how about NOTHING can rust on it?

  • Holy Shit Oo awesmome car

  • AWESOME....WOW!!!

  • holy crap thats car is small

  • it looks like a 2002 camaro whit extra body

  • Looks like god.

  • Ok, is it beautiful....umm..not exactly, but it is none the less an absolute maserpiece of 1980s supercar engineering. I love this thing.

  • Do they purposely make them look so horrible.

  • Ugly... Dun like it... PEACE...

  • design something yourself that looks better...PEACE

  • LMAO didn't even start. No wonder they went out of business. Can't compare to European super cars.

  • looks like a lamborghini sounds like a blender

  • If at first it doesnt start try and try and try again....2nd time was the charm for this one;)

I'm kidding guys this is a cool car:)

  • defently NOT the fastest car on a trac.but looks very nice.i love midle-engine cars.

  • and one more thing. The engines did not catch on fire and nobody returned them, save for Andre Agassi who insisted on taking delivery before the car was ready. They told him he could display it for his birthday, but not to drive it because the computer tuning wasn't complete for the new catalysts. The carpet singed when he went for a joy ride-the car, chassis #14, was eventually sold to someone else. That's the real story.

  • actually, that isn't the real story. The car was not finished, but not for lack of computer tuning. Andre, in fact decided to drive the car to Vegas in the middle of the night during his Birthday Party, and was driving a sustained 220 mph before the catastrophic spinout happened. Andre had agreed and signed papers to the nature that he would not have the car on for more then 15 minutes, and at no time drive it.

  • "the coolant would leak into the cylinders after 200km, that's why they replaced with lambo engine".WRONG! The lambo engines were put in after MegaTech, an Indonesian company, staged a hostile take-over and moved Vector to Florida where they built the M12 with the lambo engines and drivetrain. The M12 is the car Jeremy called the "worst car ever" and that car had nothing to do with Jerry and the original Vector team-read some history people...

  • a Lambo rip off? Why, because it has lift-up doors? So then I guess Lambo ripped the Mercedes SL Gullwing then right?

These cars pulled a .97g on the skidpad back in 1992 in a R&T magazine which was higher than anything ever recorded other than a race car. So, your "it doesn't do anything but go in a straight line" statement is completely wrong. It used gold and cadmium connectors on everything, it was epoxy bonded and riveted using an integrated chrome moly cage.

  • lamborghini rip off

  • hässliche schüssel und springt wohl nicht regelmäßig an...

  • damn, that is a cool design

  • I came into alot of money awhile back due to inheriting 6 houses (and the landlord troubles that go with them)

Ive always LOVED and WANTED a Vector...ANY Vector. Turns out the cars are flops and the president of the fan club told me theyre only good in a straight line and way to heavy compared to a GTR or FFR GTM that would cost less than half....BUY THE TOY! Its pretty.....turns like shi....

  • You drive a car that goes 190 mph+ and it doesn't start the first time you turn the key? xD and you pay for it lol

  • That is happen when the owner having too many exotic cars, he need take the Vector out more often.

  • or McLaren?

  • Vectors are the biggest heap of shit I have ever driven.

I drove a Vector W8 about 2 years ago and was appaled. I would of keyed the fucking thing but it was a friends.

    I HATE VECTORS.

    AMERICANS CANT BUILD CARS.

ALL THEY DO IS GET FATTER AND START WARS.

    GET A CLUE.

  • Bullshit you drove a vector

  • yeah I drove one at a car meet about 2 or 3 years ago.

They are not very good cars at all.

  • This is the first I heard of "vector", would you tell me why you didn't like it?

  • Its american, shit to drive, ugly and moronic.

    good enough?

  • oh man could i forget, it's American sipped my mind sry

  • Wow...check out the comments on this guys channel!!! A real winner!!!

  • i wish they made a fiero based body kit

  • SEXY???? whats sexy about an old clock radio from the 90's

  • "SEXY???? whats sexy about an old clock radio from the 90's"

Even if you dont like the body you have to appreciate that only 17 of these cars EXIST... if anything this is the most unique and exotic american supercar ever built

  • Uh...I built a piece of shit electric guitar out of used parts a few years back...one of a kind, here in America...I'm american, only one exist...but it still sounds like shit! I wish I would have never built that dreadful thing.

  • American autmoakers can make good cars. just becuz 99% are trash mean all arre trash. take the ford gt and corvette ZO6. and if you wanna talk about real supercars. the saleen s7

  • Actually the Vector W8 was a disaster, anti freeze would leak into the cylinders blowing the engine after 200 km's, which is why Vector changed the W8 for the Lamborghini V12 Diablo Engine and called it the M12. That didn't go very well with the public.

There is however a new concept out, a modern day Vector that looks very nice actually. Hope all goes well for them.

  • OMFG fking americans pls dont build cars pls....let europeans or japanese make the job...this ""car"" its the most uggly shit ever

  • Another moron that doesnt know shit... go back playing with your video games phuck tard!

  • I love it when Eurotrash try and talk shit about American cars. Try and get any European piece of crap to 100 thousand miles without thousands of dollars (or euros) in repairs.

  • Look at all the readout shit inside, cooooool. The W2 looked better but...

  • ugly ass back end. RIP Vector

  • An empty shell called The Vector was displayed around 71-72 at the LAAS, one W2 was finished and 17 Vector W8 cars were built for public sale, including one for Andre Agassi, two WX-3 prototypes were made and a Lamborghini powered model called the M12 reached a number of 14 produced. By the way, the Vector M12 was called "the worst car ever made" by Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear.

  • I completely agree.

What happens when americans decide to build supercars?

    A complete disaster.

    AMERICANS CANT BUILD CARS!!!!!!!!!!

    Exept the Ford GT.

  • jeremy clarkson is an asshole!

  • my favorita car is a mustang gt, american muscle, but the ones DA RULE LAMBOS, AND DA F1

  • I Like this car.If it touched to the lottery me to me would buy it, jaja

  • nice

  • Vector W3 and W8 are from a different era. The front in looks nice, but the rear tail lights are from the 80's. Have to say the only American car from the 80's that will stand the test of time is the Buick Grand Nationals

  • The only thing problematic about the Vector was that it was expensive and of limited production run. Comparing it to the average europen car, generally an embarrassingly low grade of vehicle of poor quality, doesn't remove from the fact that they were and remain to be an awesome design for a car of any type and function.

  • no vector engine caught fire very easily

  • ...its just a slab of car...

  • Euro cars are great cars but ANY vector will own 98 percent of all euro cars ever made

  • Hit Man. do you know that Vector never succeded because it was crap and people called it "possibly the worst car to drive ever " it was all show no go .Ppl returned it for full refund as it was braking in every department.

  • yea that idiot jeremy from top gear called it that, and yes vectors were problematic i know that, but thats not what i was talking about,i was talking about performance, they are fast cars

  • Here You are right , they are fast.

    but nowhere good :-)

  • 0-60mph= ???? sec!

    how many hp?

    top speed???

  • The article I had from Road and Track from march of 91 said 0-60 was 3.8, horsepower was 625 and top speed was 218. Not bad for having a GM 3 speed automatic.

  • not bad !but i prefer european car like lambo and ferrari koenigsegg !!!

  • loool! i want to see a koenigsegg vs that car(see who pwnd)

  • WOW, that's the saddest copy of a Euro exotic. Typical yanky innovation! lol

  • Hopefully, by then, we'll all be using an efficient power source for our cars instead of fossil fuels, the way you eurasians stupidly invented out of your fat and lazy asses.

  • to put it bluntly. you are incorrect. fucker.

  • What the hell is wrong with you guys? On once side we have someone who is against all things 'Eurasian', and on the other we have someone who is against all things 'American'.

    Sheesh.

  • And, as per usual, the Titanic was another eurasian piece of eurogarbage that didn't work, with another repugnant, useless price tag that it wasn't worth. Brainless and dimwitted neanderthals until the end.

  • Who are you kidding? The Mercedes-Benz is nothing but a metal tank with advertising for brains. The Audi is the same cheap generic piece of rubbish with different model names affixed to it to make it look like different cars. The Rolls Royce is the UGLIEST looking thing on the road. The Ferrari Enzo needs a nose job.

  • Do you even watch racing. Audi's diesel V8's are very impressive. These are your opinions. And the reason why porsche keeps the same look is because they sell a sh$# load of cars. You say porsche is gas happy!! The carrera gets 27 mpg! Also the air coming out is cleaner than the air going in on the turbo!! Look at Top gears review on the porsche Turbo. you want junk look at viper.

  • Uh, dude...the R10 has a diesel V12...not V8.

  • porsche indisputably has the absolute most racing wins in motorsports. but consider this panoz esperante won le mans in 2006 with a suspension designed in ?1815? over porsche and crushed ferrari. yea it's ugly but it's american. stop comparing apples to oranges. many factories in many countries make excellent and crappy cars.

  • The ugliest looking cars on the planet are the Mercedes-Benz, the Audi, and the dreadful VW. They have never changed. Even the Porsche is still a piece of generic gas-happy crap that hasn't improved its design since it started production.

  • you are writing nonesense. it`s a fact that european cars are waaay more economic than american cars, you still have gas prices cheap as we here in europe can only dream of. just wait when you`ll pay $2/Liter :D

I like the looks and idea behind vector, but unfortunatly it went down like titanic. I allso love vette stingray, although it`s all plastic

  • That car looks like something you use to keep the door open.

  • the superior vehicle at the time was 959. european cars especially german, are far superior to american cars. almost all of the sport car companies in the world are cooperating with porsche.. why?

  • Americas real main competitors are the Japanese producers, btw. They, too, appear to leave you spellbound, but you make them, too, don't you.

  • You've got to be kidding. Hmmm, let's see... Corvette, Mosler, Panoz, Saleen, Roush, Viper, Ford GT, Cadillac XLRV, RUFF and, of course, SSC, to name a few. Throw in Ford Mustang, Shelby, Pontiac Solstice GXP, Saturn Sky Red Line, Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger and Camaro, and that's a pretty promising line-up. This is where you claim they all have parts made in Europe.

  • no, they all have rear suspension that was outdated in 1815 :> face it, european cars are far superior than american. porsche or ferrari didn`t made their name from just sitting arround looking pretty like most american cars. and not to mention fuel consumption on let`s say charger or camaro... 3 miles per galon? :D

  • European cars are such antiquated pieces of metallic crap you can actually hear the clunkers growling "feed me more gas, because I'm a fucked-up, poorly designed unthinking pile of rubbish". Let's face it, European cars are old, bad, unfriendly technology that should be kept off of the public roads.

  • yeh right. Look at the Top gear review of the Porsche turbo 997. They say the air coming out of it is cleaner than most of the air going in. Porsches are very reliable and why is it that a lot of car commercials say German Engineered!!

  • Ruf is not american. Ford mustang, camaro, dodge challenger is not that fast compared to the cars Vore667 is talking about. sorry to say most computer components are made overseas.

  • Most computer components are not made "overseas". Eurasians lack the education and technical evolution to build their own CPUs, or components beyond peripheral clones and semiconductor clones. You write like another desperate eurasian goverment poser thrust onto the internet beyond it's mental and social ability to comprehend. The reality about cars and humanity angers you tremendously, doesn't it.

  • vector is beautyfull, but it`s still nothing but a test vehicle of some sort. it will never ever be like say F40, porsche 959, McLaren F1, Bugatti Veyron or other top of the line european sports cars. lets face it, americans just aren`t good enough to make a really fast and reliable car.

  • Test vehicle? No. This went into production, and shocked the automotive world back when it came out. The only reason why it didn't go anymore far, is because the Vector didn't have much money backing it like the richer Ferrari company, Porsche, etc. This car was actually superior to any of its competitors at the time.

  • I'm form here & still agree w/vore667 The 959 was the top performer and most sophisticated. We cannot build cars that match up to the ALL ROUND performance of the Germans. The vector used several engines from chevy to lamborghini. Corvettes rattle & their windows come from their seals at high speeds. Porsche has won more races than any other car manufacturer in the world. Including around 12-19 outright at Le Mans. Harley Davidson went to them for their highly acclaimed V-rod engine

  • Among everything else you claim, including your origin, saying "Corvettes rattle & their windows come from their seals at high speeds" proves you're as desperate as you are a dumb liar.

  • No that is what the magazines drivers complain about! Doesn't anger me at all.If you think everything that says made in america is using 100% american parts you naive. The most race wins from any car manufacturer...Porsche there is no substitue! Never catch up with the success they've had...sorry. I am from here would'nt have it any other way USA kicks ass. How am i a liar. explain yrself.

  • European cars are mainly overpriced gas-guzzling all-metal rustbucket classical monstrosities. They're overpriced heavy metal tanks that guzzle oil for brains. Putting hand-stitched leather and American electronics in them is truly the proverbial "putting perfume on a pig". The Americans, and the Japanese, will ultimately have them beat. And the day the American car companies go out of business is the day flamers can spell.

  • I'm sure he's talking about Corvette winning their class. And yes, overall American cars are crappy and cheap, but there are a select few which can perform with the top cars in the world. Mcnabb, you are somewhat right, but you're exaggerating too much

  • hav u ever been inside a vette? there you go.have u ever been inside a ferari, mclaren slr benz,or bugatti veyron?the fuck up.old american cars from the 60s were sick but now all american cars just fall apart.every american car is only good at driving in a straight line, not turning, their suspension is shit.i wasnt talking about american supercars,i was talking about american cars in general.its like 45k for a new envoy, have you been inside one of those?all fake leather, all shit dashboard

  • Sounds like your have a very well educated observation on products that run contrary to your good will. I'm certain others follow your opinion with great longing and confidence.

  • You're a dimwit. Get inside a Corvette C6 Z06, which costs only $68,000 and has nice leather seats; made with carbon fiber, magnesium, aluminum, etc. gets 27-30 mpg highway, 19-23 mpg city; has superior braking performance compared to F430s, 911s and Lambos; got a 7:42 laptime around NURBURGRING, which happens to be the OPPOSITE of straight line.

Look up Cadillac CTS-V whooping an Audi S4 around Top Gears track.

  • Check out the Saleen S7 TT, setting track records around the world, including one at Le Mans 24 hour in France. Winning multiple GT races around the world, as well.

Check out Mosler MT900; costs only $189,000, but can hit 0-60 in 3.1 seconds; made of carbon fiber and kevlar; has an awesome crash rating, extremely safe for its kind. It'll match and/or beat a much more expensive Carrera GT!

  • Stop talking.

  • looks cheap, just liek every other american car. and im american...i cant stand US cars, such peices of shit, cant turn, slow, cheap interiors, expensive, everything breaks...

  • Your a knob rot.

  • Expensive? LOL! Okay, you've never heard of the $68,000 Corvette Z06, that seems to be whooping all the European cars that cost $200,000-$300,000? Haha! What about the Ford GT? Better than Porshe G36, and Ferrari 360. What about the Saleen S7 TT with 1000 hp engine, going 260+? What about the American Corvette team winning Le Mans 4 out of the last 5 years? All 4 of them had both Vettes in 1st and 2nd place. Yes, such crappy cars...right?...

  • no corvette has ever won le mans race you tard. i duno what you are talking about. audi's have won 4 out of the last 5 years...im pretty sure an audi is not a corvette but much nicer...with a bentley winning the other one. a corvette has NEVER won. the only american car to win it was the ford gt40 back in the good ol' days when american cars were nice before UNIONS. ford and gm suck, thats why they goin out of business

  • You're a clueless idiot. Look up the GT1 class at Le Mans, and feel mighty stupid. You think Le Mans has only one class running in it? Hahaha! LMP1 class is where Audi wins, which Corvette has no car in such class. The GT1 class is where the Corvette C5.R and C6.R has DOMINATED 5 out of the last 6 years. Look up facts BEFORE EMBARRASSING yourself! LOL!

    manta400uk is right, you're a knob rot. :)

  • show the engine dammit

  • Too bad they never had the funding to test this thing in a wind tunnel. Good luck trying to put this up to its "240 mph" top speed, you wouldnt make it past 190 without the front lifting and most likely leading to a catastrophe.

  • no, the vector w8 goes 219, not 240. your thinking of the vector wx3 concept.

  • if only I could by a body kit for my northstar fiero to look like that

  • THEY NEED TO MAKE A COMEBACK!.

  • it sounds beautiful!!!

Dude get a shot of the dashboard!

  • great car

  • that thing is small as!
