Good choices, Miranda, but if I may, let me suggest that you work toward reading through one line straight to the next without allowing a line break (all on its own) to govern your inflection. Let the rhythm arise from the syntax, not from the form.
Wow, "The White Birds" is tremendous. Wonderful readings of both poems- the time needed to catch every metaphor, symbol, or reference sometimes intimidates me into avoiding sitting down with a good book of poetry, but a little video like this inspires me to look deeper. Thank you.
Well spoken Spokane ~ I can hear the love. This W.B. is for Thee :)
She opened her door and her window, And the heart and the soul came through, To her right hand came the red one, To her left hand came the blue. They set up a noise like crickets, A chattering wise and sweet, And her hair was a folded flower And the quiet of love in her feet.
i die for "He gives His Beloved certain Rhymes".. reading again and again.. (greece)

White hair and wrinkles are no barrier to feelings and poetry and music appreciation.
No one seems to realise it, at least until they reach their 60s, but we are the ultimi
discriminati.

It's pretty strange that a 22 year old is already a professor. Are you a super genius or what? You're definitely hot.

FB suggested I subscribe to you, and I hadn't the faintest idea why; after reading your blog and watching this video, I now understand why. :)
By the way, you sound absolutely adorable!
