We used to call it a funeral song cos it was only sung in funerals or night virgil, usually sung in a very slow tempo and not this fast. Enjoyed this version though.
singabahambayo thina kulomhlaba---- kepha sinekhaya---ezulwini--- haleluya haleluya!--- haleluya haleluya haleluya!---- oh we are marching for freedom were going home our hearts are filled with song so sing out strong.---singabahambayo thina kulomhlaba---- kepha sinekhaya---ezulwini--- haleluya haleluya!--- haleluya haleluya haleluya haleluya haleluya haleluya haleluyahaleluya!-------
"Singabahambayo thina" is a SA gospel song... sung in churches... I've even sung it on youth camps. It's about looking forward to Eternity with Christ (hence all the "Hallelujah's" & "We're going Home"/"Singabahambayo thina" etc.)... I suppose you could see that as a freedom song (being free from trials on Earth), but...
Pathetic
