  • Nice version from a great singer. I have recorded this one as well as it is a beautiful written track. Music will never be the same.

  • Easily the best version of this song and yet Music Choice always plays the Stylistics' rendition. Thom Bell and Linda Creed wrote this and Thom also arranged and produced both versions. Yet they are very different.

  • This song was covered by the Stylistics, and was a big hit for them. I can't recall who released it first but Johnny can sing soul pretty well.

  • This song was NOT covered by the Stylistics. They originated the song, and Mathis cover their song.

  • Was this song recorded by another band?

  • amazing song - prefer it to the stylistics because his voice is just smoother. beautiful.

  • Cheers! One of his GREATEST songs ever!

  • Not HIS song no offense but he does not sound no where near the original

  • great song of the 70's

  • Wow! What a great version of that classic by the Stylistics. This was from the LP "I'm Coming Home" and it was the only LP produced and arranged by Thom Bell. Thiere are another one from that album called "Life Is a Song Worth Singing". I do have that album.
