This guy deserved more than a detention. He humiliated Purity in front of the whole class. As romantic of a chick as I am I know that , 'romance DOES NOT = rape.' Whether people realize this or not, this movie promotes a 'joint rape effort.' It's because of guys like this that it is not safe for a young woman to go to certain areas. I love romance movies like "The Titanic." But if this guy did to me what he did to Purity, I'd punch him.

@jessecrx I'm a romantic, but like most other women I consider my breasts private. This movie is a joint effort by a group of guys to expose her breasts. They don't 'love her.' They just want to see her breasts. Later, the girls help rig her dress. And Purity ends up being exposed and humiliated in front of the whole school. I don't feel Purity deserved this form of rape because she got some people a lousy detention. If you don't call it a form of rape, what do you call it?

Sigh...ok. Let's look at the facts before you totally go off the deep end here. This movie is pure trash in a time when teen sex comedies were commonplace. Of course they want to see her boobs! EVERY guy wants to see boobs when they're in highschool! That's a no-brainer! She got what she deserved! I call it comedic justice.

Good thing I didn't post up clips from Karate Kid or else you'd call that "Bullying!"

It's a movie. And a bad one at that. So relax.

@jessecrx We have different views here. Probably because you're a dude and I'm a chick. I'd say comedic justice would have been if they got Purity a detention. Maybe every guy wants to see 'boobs.' But does that give him the right to tear a woman's shirt off? I just don't feel she deserved this 'joint rape.' I just feel a bit sad in that you ca't see my point. Actually I like the "Karate Kid" films. Daniel is bullied, and then turns the tables. And the head bully sais: "You're alright."

Let's just rewind for a sec. This movie is HOT GARBAGE!

Yes! These guys are up to no good! Yes! It was wrong of them to do what they did!

But this is a sex COMEDY! Trashy-B-poorly acted - skinamax filth! Why on earth a romantic woman is even bothering with it is mind bottling!

Here are some other movies you should check out. Revenge Of The Nerds. Private School. Private Lessons. HOTTS. Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

@jessecrx Well, you're right. This is not a film for a romantic woman like myself. My x boyfriend had a thing for this movie and watched it a lot. (That's how I was exposed to it. One day I realized he would rather grab my butt than tell me he loved me.) Maybe we should just let each other have our opinions. I love films like "The Titanic" ad "Sleeping With the Enemy." Sorry about your ex. He had taste for trash movies(no harm in that). But try not to let these types of movies get under your skin. And I do respect your opinions...I was just pointing out that this movie is not even worth debating over. Oh, and at least your ex grabbed you...some women don't even get that.

I like Titanic for one reason only. Billy Mutha-F'ing-Zane! He's such a scoundrel in that movie! You should see Revolutionary Road. Much better movie with Kate n Leo

@jessecrx Hi. I was able to see the "Revolutionary Road" you suggested. It was interesting, but I found it a little too sad. After "The Titanic," it was very painful to see Kate and Leonardo at each other's throats like that. My ex and I split in a fairly civil manner. But there ws nothing civil or friendly about the Kate/Leonardo relationship in RR. It was an interesting watch. (But too sad.)

I liked the movie because it wasn't as predictable as Titanic. It was great to see them do a counter role. Shows how dynamic they are.

@jessecrx I understand what you're saying. And it was interesting. Just a little too sad for me. This film kind of made me glad my x and I split before children became an issue. But like I said, we split in a friendly and civil way. Like you said, at least he grabbed me. Some women don't even get that.

great movie watched it a few times and it was all made in Toronto area...the drive in part was made in pickering ontario @ tee pee drive in and the srtip club filmores east is still there

That's a really interesting piece of trivia there. I had NO idea this was filmed up there. I wish they'd do a reunion or a special edition DVD and catch up with some of the actors in this movie. They did it for Last American Virgin. Why not this? lol!
