I've always loved how years ago some companies used to make the same system. SAMSUNG making the Genesis for Korea, Panasonic, Sanyo and GoldStar (now LG) making the 3D0, and Hitachi and Victor (JVC) making the Saturn versions were commercial strategies that always amazed me. Nowadays it isn't commercially viable to do so, and also it's a risk for the companies, as some people might be able to allow piracy for different console versions.
Never owned a SATURN, back in the day I had a MEGA DRIVE - then switched allegiance an bought an N64
This looks a great consol , but have no regrets coz the N64 was also an awesome consol
Some of my fav gaming memories come from playing on my Sega MG with games like Olympic Gold , Streetfighter 2 Turbo Edit & MK , and also on my N64 with games like Zelda OOT , Turok & Banjokazooie, they were good times to be a gamer :) , great vid guy
my favourite saturn is the gray one with blue buttoms (forgot the model).I don't own one yet but this was the saturn model I first saw and I think it looks best :)
I so want a HiSaturn, don't really like the white and grey japanese Saturns. And Metal Slug looks as good as always. Will def pick it up when i get a working Saturn.
you're collection reminds me of my own. i maybe have more obscure stuff. I have been getting packages from around the world every othr day for years. no more room! and no time to play and enjoy. do you have a divers cx-1 dreamcast? i reco it.
Nice stuff man. Got the Action Replay Plus to play the imports I have. So many awesome 2d and shmups on this system. Such an underated system though. I thought this was much better than the psx
@CrimsonMist Technically speaking it was far better than the PS1. If it wasn't for its difficulty to program (it's said that the Saturn's architecture was what inspired Intel and AMD to develop dual-core technologies), the lack of important third parties (caused by the Genesis, and the hype Sony got after legal actions against Nintendo and the moving of their 3rd parties over to Sony), and SEGA's stubborness with starting the 32-bit console war already in 1994, it would have been more popular.
@JackBandicootsBunker Yeah, but remember that the Saturn 3D capabilities couldn't match those of the Playstation or the N64...and that wasn't because it was hard to program for...the 2D capabilities of the system were amazing though, probably even better than some arcades...
@MoonOvIce I do remember that, by looking at the 3D games released for the system, you can barely notices that it looked as if that was the most the Saturn can handle (putting the Shenmue beta aside, of course)
What is your favorite Saturn Luke? I just got a Hi Saturn. I also have a US Saturn and the white Saturn, but I want to sell the White one.

So in your opinion does the Saturn have better 2D capabilities than a Neo-Geo? They seem pretty close to me, despite the age of the Neo-Geo hardware.
