i rem me and a few m8s met some ghurkas training on the sussex downs whilst we were fkn around in some old 4x4s we borrowed and they were really friendly bunch. the rupert w them was a tosser but the ghurkas were sound. i guess the brits musta done something to help them bigtime a long time ago cos i've read about what vicious ftrs they were and even terrified the japs in ww2! only little blokes but fight BIG

@narred The Brits and Gurkha's fought each other in a war, possibly back in the days when we used muskets, and each side fought so hard the opposing forces won each other's respect, so when the war ended the Gurkha's decided to fight for us.

@reservoirpo Agree entirely. The Gurkha's are AWESOME, not just soldiers-but WARRIORS! Our long association with these fantastic people is both very humbling and a source of HUGE pride. I have met a few Gurkha's as a result of doing a stint in the military and they were fantastic blokes one and all. RESPECT to Nepal and the MIGHTY Gurkha's- our FINEST friends and the most potent soldiers on the planet!
