This is killing human, We will be too much depend on the phone, or these system, What if I dont have the phone, lost? dead phone, and I cant do anything. as U wont have the remote anymore as you dont need it no more, when phone not working, cant even turn the heater on.

OK take it easy APPLE people, if it makes you feel better, the NEST guys came from APPLE. For at least easy ( after setup ) and somewhat elegant home automation, ie lights, power, HVAC, locks, and more; check out Vera 2. Nice apps available for Android and 'some other SMARTPHONES'.
