Only an asshole braids a horses mane.....sad really...people putting horses in shows....peppering the tail to keep it proud....marbling the hooves to make them dance.....cutting nerves in the ears to make the ears point up always...disgusting.
@angelgirl7473 I was comparing the horse to the guy and the fence which typically are measured in feet, and I have no clue how to do hand to foot conversions! But thanks for pointing that out.
@sunshine777888 There's 4 inches in a hand and 12 inches in a foot so you basically divide the number of hands by 3 and you'll have it in feet. same with other way around you times it by 3.
@sunshine777888 - A HAND is 4 inches and 5 feet equals 15 hands (a common size for saddle horses and the old cavalry standard - minimum). Six feet equals eighteen hands and this horse MIGHT be that tall. Speculating a lot but that man doesn't seem to have the body type of a really tall guy.
They are measured at the withers - fairly distinctive in this horse - the transition from the neck to the back.
17 1/2 - 18 hands is a fair guess based on the assumption that the handler is 6'.
@1tylerF I love how you have to resort to name calling. In no way are you changing the effectiveness of your sentence by adding "RE RE" at the end. If anything you are detracting from it. And besides the point I have already been informed (and politely might I add) four times before you did.
@sunshine777888 I know, my apologies, one of my friends had used my youtube account. I actually don't know exactly what he said however I know it was him, saying he likes the word "re re"
@angelgirl7473 Actually, here in Europe horses are measured in CENTIMETRES. The hand system makes no sense logically. 16.1, 16.2, 16.3, 17? Those decimals make no SENSE! Measuring both horses and humans in centimetres is actually totally utilitarian. I'm 172 cm, my horse is 164. Comparisons made easy =)
@jonty811@CrimsonCompassion Hello, I'm not sure how tall the guy or the horse were because I don't really remember precisely. But I think the wall was about 3-4 feet so that would probably make him around 5-6 feet tall. Which in theory would make the Horse about 6-7 feet tall, but if he was standing on his hind legs (like the guy) he would be really tall, and intimidating. I hope this sort of answers your questions. Have a good day, Peace.
@unavailabletoyu o ryt :P I was a wee bit confused it looked likee he was hittin Wee clydy as im startin 2 call the horse! ;) Which is alryt if he/she was misbehaving but i has concerned because Clydey wasn't doin anything wrong :)
All of the "fuzzy" (as my nephew calls them) draft breeds are so beautiful! There is something to be said for the slender, elegant breeds like the Arabian or the Akhal-Teke, but nothing beats the prance of a Clydesdale or Gypsy Cob.
hey! listen EVERYONE who is ragging on the AMAZING United States that i call home! you are talking about a small portion of the united states, THE LAND OF THE FREE where we can have our OWN opinions. i have also wondered how a horse would taste because i would hear about it but i would never think to DO that. and let me tell you that just because you live in another country doesnt mean that your not ignorant. you are such a jackA for saying that! i wish that when you ever come to the US you die.
@dioioego In the United States it is considered illegal to slaughter horses for human consumption so therefore no one could tell you from The US. But it is sad that the first thing you think of when seeing such a beautiful horse is I wonder how that would taste.
@sunshine777888 in the United States u must not know the meaning of the word 'sarcasm' but this is something that I would expect from people (US) who are well known in all the world for being extremely ignorant. Have u ever travelled outside your little world? Now, that's sad.
@dioioego I've never eaten horse myself (It would be like eating a pet) but I've heard from friends in France where it's a bit more common that it's very sweet, like veal.
@Samsam2992 I'm vegetarian since I was 16, I don't know much about meat but I think some people would eat human meat if they were given the chance to. I saw this documentary about people in China who eat dogs and cats. Revolting.
Having said this, people need to loosen up a bit more! It was a joke! You don't need to go like 'In the US it is considered illegal to slaughter horses'...well, it seems still legal for somebody in the US to slaughter humans in foreign countries for OIL! Get real.
@SophiaThePumpkinKing uhm...wait a second, think about what you've just said: how many other animals do YOU eat? Are you saying that u r better than me because you eat other animals? You are a dumb loser.
@sunshine777888 LOL pretty sure he meant simply that his coat will become interspersed with white hairs as he gets older; many Clydesdales do this. Not that he'll be less lovely.
@tashafangs I see no hint of grey in him. There are some alot of black horses that do not grey out. If he hasnt started to grey at this point, he probably wont ever.

@1555hanah like i said, this was my friend who commented on this video previously...and obviously he meant "a foot is inches" not "a foot is an inch"

@1tylerF a foot is not 1 inch... its 12... just letting you know (Y)
DeathKitty123456 3 weeks ago
@sunshine777888 Every 4 inches is a hand. So, if the horse was 6 feet tall, (6 feet =72 inches. 72/4=18hh)

@angelgirl7473 Even though they are measured in hands you can EASILY convert feet to hands. Simple math for all horse people. ;)

How tall is the man in this vid.. then maybe we could get a relatively good idea how big the horse is.
