if you have problems with turning on your iTouch - hold the home button and the power button on in 10 seconds. I hope that worked if you coudn't

i dont get it. im stuck at the part when we have to choose the firmware.. its just to choose a file name and click save right? i did that alott of times but i keep getting an "the ipod could not be restored because the firmware file is not capable"

ok heres the problem. i dowload the filmware. it goes to mozilla dowloads. i open it and then press restore. but its different for me. i think i was supposed to dowload it to documents but idk how to do that so any responce?

hold power button for 5 seconds then hold power button + home button. then only hold the home button, unitl you hear a sound on your computer.

you have to connect your ipod while doing this!

I have the 1g ipod touch and i was jailbroken on 3.0 software. I stupidly updated to 3.1.1 so i have to re jailbreak it. Im using redsnow 0.8 and i think i have the right firmwar (1,1_3.1.1) but redsnow doesnt recognise the ipsw. I also re tried it with the 3.0 firmware and it makes it all the way through but gets stuch on "downloading jailbreak data" It finally rebooots but it is not jailbroken and ther is no cydia. what do i do?
