  • God I can't even BEGIN to tell you how spot on this video is! Thanks for posting :D

  • CLEARLY SHE DID NOT GET ENOUGH BRATWURST.

  • Fuck her.

  • @camycam178

    sat·ire [sat-ahyuhr] Show IPA

    noun

    1.

the use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc.

  • @Core94 I'm not an idiot I know this is satire, I just dislike her. A lot.

  • @camycam178 that's cool then, everyone has their own opinion... my bad :) this IS youtube

  • hahaha this is hilarious

  • poor guys!!! D: its really annoying how the media portrays both sexes, like women are dirty hos who only want sex and husbands are doofs that can't think for themselves. sometimes its the other way around. why cant they just leave us all alone!!!??

  • Men down!

  • It's funny but not Seriously.

  • Theyre all white. Just sayin.

  • @camed93 that's because all blacks are doing KFC commercials

  • Goddamn it, Jimmy.

  • Dawww some of these comments. Guys get all butthurt when they don't get to play the "bumbling sitcom dad" card like it's the world's foremost problem that they didn't create themselves.

  • 29 people take themselves way too seriously.

  • Jimmy left his Slip 'n Slide on the roof. OvO

  • This was hilarious!!!!

  • D: I'm so glad I don't watch TV anymore. These ads are just offensive! Seriously, I had to pick my jaw up at that last one!

  • is she going to divorce her husband shrek?

  • @wavesmag "This girl is actually smart"... Amazing huh? Asshat

  • Comment removed

  • @deweys would you like to wear me?

  • @wavesmag In my experience, dumb girls tend to hang around dumb assholes. Birds of a feather flock together. ;)

  • Why is her voice so terrible?

  • Those commercials are so lame! Haha, my dad does the grocery shopping, the cooking, AND the cleaning in our house. Best part is he still has work as long as twelve hours a day.

  • @ANTiKr00t Real American Hero!

  • problem is you had kids.

  • Oh man, this is so true, why is that commercals with husbands make them look so stupid? My husband is nothing like the brain donors in the commercals!

  • I love this!

For years I've listened to women ask me "How'd you get your husband so well trained?" URG! My husband was awesome when I met him and he's awesome 11 years later! I didn't do anything except end up lucky enough to spend my life with him! I hate the way the media portrays husbands. It's insulting to both sexes and Sarah takes the advertisers down!

  • It is so sad that they still market this picture of men... and even sadder that it actually sells.

  • You...obviously have no understanding of anything in this video. Or anything pertaining to media or women, or even men, either.

  • then ladies, here is the solution. dont get married!!!!! if you hate us soooo much for being unsavey with the shit that you do and all the wonderful fuckin ways you do it, leave us the fuck alone and stop asking us to get married, cause this is just too much stress on your plate, right??????

  • I'm a doofy husband, but I wouldn't say "good for nothing"; anything automotive, HVAC-related, home appliance-related or home-improvement-related, I'm a champ....but when it comes to cooking, ironing, or picking out what type of formal clothes to wear (or even casual, for that matter)? I'll just leave that to my wife, she's much better at all that stuff than myself! ;)

  • @dslgunner1977 the problem with this is that the things your wife is good at are things that are done daily, whereas the things you're good at are things that come up every now and then, making her responsible for more things in your everyday life. She wasn't born knowing how to do that stuff, she learned it and so can you. If you love and value her try a little learning :)

  • Women belongs in the kitchen making dinner, cuz that's what they should do... Nothing else.

  • the satire is being used as a cover up just look at the comments as a result

  • And this is 1reason why I left the feminist movement & joined Mens Rights Activist. We are sick of so much misandry. Its funny how women can dish a joke to the opposite gender in these comments but cant take one & expect us to "take it (ridicule) like a man".

If this was in reverse? ALL those commercials would be pulled off the Air..

This video is helpful to men?

Guess what? its not helping, not at all, its participating in misandry.

You wouldnt like this video in reverse.

  • @themaniusedtob

Funny thing is I'll bet you its not even women coming up with these commercials for the most part. Companies try to appeal to the female demographic and overdo it.

  • @loner1878 The point isnt who creates the commercial, the point is that such a huge market demand for those commercials exist. producers will create whatever the market demands and this is a reflection of market research that shows that men can be portrayed as stupid while women cannot, that misandry is acceptable, and that men are undervalued in society as a whole.

  • @themaniusedtob

I don't like those commercials and I have yet to find another female that does. Who eve takes commercials seriously enough to pay attnetion to them beyond the surface level? I know I tune most of them out or flip channels. But the real issue here is why men aren't taking a stand agaisnt them as women did to offensive ads not too many years ago? Anonymous complaints on the internet aren't going to help things.

  • @loner1878 Personally I think that the issue of men not speaking up is due to their "maleness" itself. Men don't whine or complain or show weakness.

  • @alliegalforeva18

I agree. I've seen instances of that myself, where men decide not to do something (like report domestic abuse by a female) out of fear of being mocked by other guys.

  • @loner1878 Yeah. It's pretty sad really. I wonder how much of it is societal and how much is natural... it's an interesting issue.

  • @loner1878 "Who eve takes commercials seriously enough to pay attnetion to them beyond the surface level?"

Ask feminist groups who successfully have pulled many commercials of the air that promote women as dumb blondes etc but wouldn't dare lift a finger 2 do something about these types of commercials. "I don't like those commercials and I have yet to find another female that does." remember that part when I said there is a market for it? if you are not aware of it, read this pg and 2,3,4 etc

  • @themaniusedtob

Please name an actual ad that happened with.

Get a clue, genius. They're focused on women's issues. Your sneering attitude here is equivalent to blaming PETA for not lifting a finger to make commercials for cancer awareness or starvation in Africa. That is why there are different organizations for different causes. Why don't you get off your ass and start and advocacy group that adresses men in these sort of ads?

  • @themaniusedtob

I did. And see zero evidence for the "market" you are implying. Most comments are in agreement with the video here that is pointing out how stupid this type of commercials are.

  • @loner1878 "Anonymous complaints on the internet aren't going to help things?" the only thing that doesn't help is when you do nothing at all. I do make a (and have) difference by simply writing one comment. Yes, just one. Do you know how many women call themselves a feminist yet NEVER lifted a finger for the movement (not even an internet comment) ? ALOT and just calling yourself a feminist helps feminazism become more powerful! and if on top of that you make a comment? you get the pic

  • @themaniusedtob

Simply wirting one comment doesn't do anything, sorry to tell you. Unless that evolves into some sort of active movement, online or otherwise, where enough attention is generated to alert the company and the public as to the injustice. Yes many women would fall into that category, but many more are active both online and in the public sphere for their cause. I myself am active in campaigns, that is why I know online comments alone are insufficient.

  • @themaniusedtob

And its clear you have a piss poor understanding of what feminism even is.

Feminism: The advocacy for political, social, and economic equality between men and women.

Not about any superiority. Yes, there are radical feminists who go too far, but name a movement that hasn't had its extremists. Do you believe all environmental activists are the SUV-burning and fur store-destroying types as well?

  • @themaniusedtob I'm a feminist an I agree with you entirely. These commercials help nothing, some of the ones on TV I find outright disgusting. They make men feel stupid and they appeal to a false sense of "girl power" in women who don't realise that there's no empowerment to be had by making someone else feel useless.

  • @cindellednic wow, thank you for understanding... its nice to see that you do not just follow the trend.

  • I hate both men and women in commercials. Not all men and women have cookie cutter personalities with perfectly gendered relationship roles. Instead of encouraging me to buy products, I become infuriated when I see most commercials. If I need dish soap I look for the cheapest product, not the one advertised every five minutes.

  • 95% of women in Canada has been through someone form from abuse...ost by men..aren't there women protesting? after all that is a bigger problem for it not just effects the women but children too

  • @madeinrussia1985 Do you have a source for that? Because it sounds like...well... a lie.

  • Whenever I see commercials like those ones I always wonder why men aren't protesting in the streets....

  • Hey us men can tear some good pussy too!!!!!

  • funny that so many commercials portray men this way... the thing with the RV actually happened, but it was a female driving. She also managed to sue the maker and win.

  • this is hilarious

  • Actually, exactly the opposite is true. Consumer research tells advertising agencies what people want. It discovers, again, through surveys, what they like to eat, what TV shows they watch, and much else. What do young men want? Beer and tires. What do young women want? Silky hair and food that won't make them balloon out of their clothes. Marketers respond to demand. It's really that simple. And the research is really that accurate.

  • @Tactual

    U mad?

  • @DarknessbUnnie I'm mad!

  • That last ad was scary!

  • Damn! like I needed another reason to not get married!!!

  • "check the calendar on the fridge to see if it's your birthday." lol oh Sara how I miss you!

  • @kuaitomboblo

So I'm guessing you've never heard of sarcasm....

  • @kuaitomboblo You're also clearly an idiot since she's CRITICIZING the way these ads portray relationships between men and women, and the way men are shown to be "doofy husbands."

  • @kuaitomboblo true very true... its already starting to happen.... they even thumbed down your comment... they probably will do the same to mine... when they end up with alot of angry men theyll be clueless as to why

  • @kuaitomboblo 25 years of misandry versus centuries of misogyny... You're not helping your case if you're going for that "not doofy" angle.

Plus, the point of this video is HOW DUMB these commercials are. Comprehension... not achieved.

  • @shamrockofdoom You are completely right. Thanks for explaining that so nicely.

  • @j21hustlin ever heard of a thing called satire? She's doing a comedy about gender stereotypes in the media. She's trying to illustrate the fact that the way that both men and women are portrayed in the media is ridiculous.

  • Too bad her satirical humor is not far from the reality of things. :P

  • 00:55 "And then he met you and got married... And now he's slightly dumber than a dog" Hilarious.

  • 2:09 over and over.... derp derp derp

  • Very true. Completely annoying, and a bit insulting...

  • First time watcher and.. this is completely correct. I love his video.

  • @yrbabuena either you truly are the mindless zombie she is making fun of, or you trollin'... im gonna go with trolling, you can't be that incompetent.

  • she's really a man...

  • ive always been annoyed by this stereotype!

  • 2:34 f**k it i want his money!!!!

  • 17 men...

  • She is not dissing men, She is simply drawing attention to marketing tactics used to appeal to the female demographic. Yogurt is a "chick food." Why? There are plenty of males who enjoy yogurt, too. But it's marketed to women, likewise beer is most always marketed toward men. and appealing to that demographic is dealt with in the same stereotypical manner. Large companies tell us what we want and who should want it, and people buy into it without question. Consumer use caution.

  • @shamrockofdoom Yeah. She is actually trying to defend them in a way too. She's saying that only single men are sexy and married men are doofy & somewhat retarded. Damn those stereotypes.

  • yea bitch, you saw how happy he was before he met u.i wander why he can't do shyt, its cuz of ur retarded ass lol.

  • Yay sexism! Can't have enough of that stuff, eh?

  • I'm in love with this woman.

  • @sanchess1987 ...Oh.

  • Baha! I HAAATE those commercials. Thanks for the humor. My sister and I make fun of that crap all the time. You're better at it. :-]

  • My dad gets irritated by those commercials so much. Especially since in Holland they all tend to give the idiot husband the same name.... His...

  • I'm never getting married... that way I will save millions upon millions of weeds from dying on lawns yearly!

  • These stupid commercials drive my husband and I crazy...well, they bother me more than they bother him, because I'm not so good at tuning them out.

  • You forgot raising the husbands as well as the kids.

  • She's super right. SATIRE RIDES AGAIN!

  • @Foxlamont Um... what? lol

  • @Foxlamont Thanks for clearing that up, Prince Charming.

  • 14 people are women that really do have doofy husbands.

  • that last commercial was fucking terrible!

  • @Josedehesa Are you serious? I think you're completely missing the point...

  • @Josedehesa Um, no. All she's doing is calling attention to how TV portrays the average man or woman in a humorous manner. Way to miss the point.

  • INFOMANIA NEEDS SARAH BACK... BADLY!

  • Don't forget the dad who's just gotta have the exact same waffle his daughters holding at that second.

  • @killhamasaki your mom looks like a whore

  • y.a.w.n...

  • Lumbering man-beasts....OMGLOL.

  • @qrrbrbirlbel7 The chick in the video was being sarcastic, i.e. exposing how men are portrayed as dumb in advertisements by pretending to agree with these sentiments.

  • I love Sarah Haskins, she is mondo funny. She not only preforms this stuff fantasticly, but she writes it as well. A one woman show!

  • I love Sarah, but I also really like Erin.... I feel conflicted.

  • Every time I see one of her segments, I want Sarah a little bit more....Where are all the Sarah-like women?

  • I love this... LMFAO

  • I love you Sar - oh FUCK, scalded myself with boiling noodle water while typing this. Gotta run!

  • "Better check that calendar on the fridge to find out if it's YOUR birthday" hahahahahaha!

  • Maybe this one should be called Target Men. xD

  • What happend to Target Women?

  • Lol. "Jimmy left his slipe 'n' slide... on the roof." >]

And thats always bugged me. Like in the yoplait commercial where the woman's like... why the frick are you digging around in the fridge? Stupid man can't figure out yogurt?

  • @GoddessofEggrolls I also hate the one where the guy is talking on the phone about the magic of yogurt to his friend, and then the wife discovers that he's been eating--God forbid--YOGURT!! Doesn't that man know that only WOMEN are allowed to eat that sort of thing?

  • Yes! For years I've wondered why models have total doof husbands in all commercials aimed at women...

  • "spent 5 years trying to land this guy. MotherF**ker can't even make breakfast." LMAO

  • Man I miss Target Women : (

  • jimmy left his slippin slide on the roof

  • She is also commenting on the idea and supposed consequences of marriage.

  • Men are too stupid to do housework so it's a woman's job.

  • It really does make both men AND women look bad. "Spend 5 years trying to land this guy. The motherf***er can't even make breakfast."

  • I have noticed the way ads always make women look like the "smart" bitch and men are just complete fools. And teens can outsmart both parents any day any time. I do not know why that is supposed to make me want to buy their products. Wait actually it doesnt

  • stereotyping is funny... not always dough ;[

  • @PsychedelicVideos. Umm she's pointing out the ridiculous steriotypes that ads have about men/women. She's not not dissing the men. I thought it would be obvious.

  • not funny

  • Being a swinging bachelor sure is awesome. I've got my axe spray and Miller Lite and I'm the fuckin bee knees. But I'm tired of being so cool. I think I'll settle down, get married, and turn into a bumbling oaf.

  • sort of true about the cant make breakfast thing. My dad burns microwavable popcorn :D

  • In some ways, it's comforting--the media is occasionally equal parts misogynistic and misandristic.

  • @spagerbot

The fact that you think the word "history" has anything to do with gender only shows how ignorant you are. The fact that you dismiss put-downs and disrespectful media because there isn't "systematic oppression of males" shows that you basically feel you have a free pass to be a bitch towards men.

  • @spagerbot Ideas like this will lead to the oppression of males, "HIStory" is not too irrelevant when considering current issues. There are actually areas where women are now more privileged than men, woman certainly have an advantage in education, and society seems to ignore or excuse when men are abused by women.

  • @spagerbot Misandry does exist, as long as there are individuals who hold anti-male views, it may not have the historical dominance that misogyny holds be it definitely exists.

  • I am 14, male, and I can make breakfast, and use a blender. It's not that hard. I don't think I will suddenly forget once I get married...

And I know I definitely can keep a peafowl from getting into my house. Especially when it's harder to get a peafowl into my house.

  • That was awfully funny and so true XD

  • I never realized these commercials were so sexist

  • how about the one where the man doesnt have enough time to fill out life insurance because he is too confustigated screwing the hinges of the kitchen cubbord back on. LOL!

  • @BeingInTheMessiah

I remember that one! I thought it was more that the husband was AVOIDING the job of filling out his insurance because he whatever plan he had before wasn't as 'easy' as the one they were advertising. Nonetheless, that was still an annoying commercial.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL! "Jimmy left his slip 'n slide on the roof"

  • I'm SO friggen fed up with these damn doofy dad commercials! It's one of the reasons why I seriously don't watch TV anymore.

  • "better check that calendar on the fridge to find out it its your birthday" lol i love it

  • LMAO the life insurance commercial was gold

  • OMG "Jimmy left his slip n slide on the roof" funniest thing I've heard ALL day

  • mother f@#%er can't even make breakfast. hahahha

  • Once again Sarah hits the mark! This stereotype drives me nuts. It does men and women no favors.

  • have you auditioned for SNL yet?
