OOOHHH Yess....!!!....nothing better....nothing..!!....you know what I think of their music...and this one..is ...just..one of the best...!! oooweee....
Phil....next week is when I see The Lettermen here in Indiana....back to listening to your songs this week!!.....This has to be one of my favs....Suzi from Indy
Another original! And I see cousin Bobby, along with Jimmy & Tony in the photo!
Happy Veteran's Day everyone! I know cousin Karl was in the Army and I think cousin, Bobby Engemann was also in the Army. I have a pix of Karl at the piano and Bobby standing next to it, and me playing the violin at our family reunion that I've posted to my Facebook page. Phil, how do I post to my Standup4America page?
@standup4America Yeah, what a great trio they were! You can post this vid just by hitting the fav button, but if you meant your pic, I don't think YT have facilities for that.
Ahh...back again..on this lovely Sat morn...just to take a few moments..to go back to the 60's...and my fave group..that made HS..such a wonderful time..thnx,..Phil...for taking me back...once more time..but not the last...sigh. :)..Darlene...Atl. GA..!
I thought that I was the #1 Lettermen fan but, apparently, there are many others. I have been to dozens of their concerts for the last 40 years and never once was disappointed! Thank you for posting so many of my favorites - job well done!
@4doororphan The first ever cou;le of singles were on Warner Bros before they made it big on Capitol. Their Cd "Greatest Movie Hits" was released on Pat Boones' Gold label in 2000, but that's probably different to gold star?? - I'll ask around for you and get back to you.
@4doororphan OK more info for you:- the early records were recorded at Goldstar and Western recorders, later it was Capitol A or B studio. Hope this is ok for you.
@TheSuziclassof64 A wonderfully popular song, it was #1 on here for quite a while but has now been overtaken by "You'll never walk alone". Thanks for searching through my uploads!
Been youtubing..for a bit..this afternoon..going thru my 'saved ones'...aahhh..this is a beauty...yep.. many memories...so good...thnx..for stll being here..Phil! :)
How they arrange the songs, their melody, their blending, their emotions, n their feelings when they sing the song, that's the ingredients of "The Lettermen" no wonder they are still the best... more power to you guys... we love you...
Thank you so much for taking the time to post these beautiful songs. I'm 47 yrs. old and I'm doing my part to keep these songs alive by performing them in public. The Lettermen were an inspiration to me in the 70's and they continue to be. God Bless!
What a great video to post for love songs week Phil...its quite lovely - really warms the heart . Hey - post as many as you like btw - they will all be welcome :-)
Aha, checked you out! Now I know who Lettermen1 is!I wondered who might have been as obsessed as me about the Lettermen! I graduated in 1966 and am a Grandma,(too), but feel 16 in my heart! I will keep playing your tunes, don't let them disappear on me!
songs like this always bring good memories, I'm 33 and yet I like songs from the 50's and the 60's, maybe because my parents played songs like this when my brother and I were growing up. Thanks to YT and people like you who uploaded immortal classics.
