No problems with the blade on mine, it's a two handed job to open it or to replace it. Good solid wee tool.

the blade on this thing is real dangerously apt to slide out, i'd tighten the screw to the point where you need your key or a coin to pry it out

...or remove it altogether, but then you're left with a longer Shard
