  • Thailand is a beautiful place!!

  • Hey Tex! How's it going? I met you in 1992 and came to live there in 1996 at View Point for 9 months!!! How is Poppy? and Tracey? Is this your video? Cool. Love the music!

And BTW all, reggae is totally Thai, just like rap and hip hop!

    Joan Janzen (Leonie from Canada)

  • the name of the song is: job 2 do - doo doo doo

  • hehe nice i know what he say :D

  • a+++++

  • This vid makes me home sick

  • Please take care when you are on the road or motorcy cle etc..Many tourists leaving Thailand with semi/or fully paralyse /broken arms/legs/got rob-shot in Cambodia/stolen kidney in China while cycling/died after a trip in India

  • Man,

I miss home... The food, the weather, the Islands are awesome!

  • few years back, i ride my motorbike frm singapore to bangkok.i did pass by krabi,a nice place.

  • TONSAI is an awesome place....

  • just got back from thailand, Job2do came To Tonsai and played live!, epic music and epic climbing.

  • What is the name of the song?

  • "Do to tam" - Job2Do

  • went there this summer it was an amazing place so relaxed and also great climbing

  • nice adventure!

  • well nice song and want to climb the rock ya !!

  • went there in 1998, great climbing. thanks for the post, brought back many happy memories. nice soundtrack too ++

  • Yea, this band is good. When I was last there, there were people climbing at night. Has anyone been hurt climbing this rock at night there? Cause it look really cool.

  • fabulous video, offering great adventure

  • has anybody been to to thailand climbing in the wet season? would you reccomend a trip at that time? or just go in the dry season, any help would be great cheers

  • yes you can climb in the wet season, especially round tonsai because there are a lot of covered climbs that are protected even when raining.......

  • ive just left. it seems to rain like clock work every afternoon so you can still climb in the morning no problem, also its cheaper this time of year

  • I suppose it depends on the year, but the year I was there it was pretty good during the rainy season. It rained everyday at about 4 pm, so we had to rap down and clean up our gear at 3...spent the evening watching thunder and lightning out on the ocean while sippin beer and enjoying a little herb.

  • Nice Video, nice Song.

Yes the Band is called Job2do and the name of the song is "Doo doo doo"

  • The group is called Job2do....think they are from Ko Lanta

  • They are from Phuket .. Rawai >> 400 meters from Dons Cafe, m 600 meters from Rawai Muaythai Camp is where they jam/ pratice

  • oki cool...sorry for the false information. will go to rawai beach in januari....hope to see them then....

  • this band is so good...do they post times/dates when they travel to do gigs??,.id love to see these in person..

  • what is the name of the song in this video? It's played everywhere down there and It's so catchy I must have it!

  • never mind. didn't notice the credits in the end the first time I saw the vid.

  • cool :)))))))))) i love it

  • Amazing Race 1, Leg 10, Detour! Rock climb or walk all the way around!

  • awesome. i climbed most of these walls. great time!

  • A safety related question - are the safeties maintained properly their? Because I've heard that in Thailand there are many safeties that are loose or rusty due to the salty air. Just wondering cause I am thinking to come there fro climbing....

  • i'm going to railay beach this summer to climb, it'd be my first time climbing properly outdoors. But i'm not entirely sure on what I'd need. There are top ropes and lead climbs right? I'd bring my shoes, harness, chalk and rope(or can you rent long ropes there)?

Do I need some sort of license or proof to show I know how to climb or will they just let me do it when we pay there? And that brings another question, do i have to book it all in advance, or can i just turn up there and pay? thanks

  • you can just turn up on the daY AND TAKE A LESSON OR TWO.. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. aLL equipment is supplied.

  • oh nice, thanks for that. it'll definitely be a nice change from all this indoor climbing.

  • I have been there, 2 years ago now. Whent there on a whim with a friend and showed up without our gear. We could rent everything there at resonable prices, if you bring your own stuff it would be nice but expect to bring back a lot of sand as all the route you saw in the video start on the beach. Top rop and lead are available, it's all good fun (guides go up bare foot) in a beautifull place. Enjoy!

  • cool, cheers. And one final question actually: are the routes and areas all quite difficult to get to? Like, in Portland, there's a lot of steep, thin rough paths that can be deadly if you slip. Or are there a lot of routes just on the beach?

  • Nice video, reminds me of my rocking climbing there and want to go again:)

  • The stuff in the vid is right on the beach, (5 minute from your room) so you don't have to pack but you have to ask when the tide comes in (it's a bit wonky) or your gonna start in knee high water. It's all easy and moderate and safe. Diamond cave looks nice and a bit harder. You can get a boat to bring you to some nice "deep water soloing" routes that seem really fun and dangerous =)

  • Nice, I recognized a few of the routes from my 2002 trip... I climbed with a guide called "Gop" working out of "Cliffs man", a real nice guy!

  • yeah... i'll be going there soon...

    weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

going to try all the route... (if can)

  • love rock climbing....love muay thai...

great video, if i had the money i'd be there too.....maybe one day....my dreams will come true.

  • whats this song called danny?

  • it's writen in Thai ... The English equivalent would be = do do do da dumb

  • @rawaimuaythai

    what´s name of this music??

I´m from brazil and I have been 3 times in Thai, amazing place!

I lived 2 month on Railay, missing there

  • @rawaimuaythai doo doo doo doo ther tam : look look look look what you've done to me...

  • looks like a good time.
