okay the average octaves is 2.5 non singers just don't know how to technically use it. so in kareoke the typical range is at most 2. with years of vocal training and proper breathing anyone can get up to 2.5 octaves. leona was born to sing 3.2 is probably normal for her, but she can probably get lower and a bit higher she can probably obtain at least 3.5 octaves and highest can be 4.0. mariah doesnt have 5.0 octaves its a lie her highest note is turns to whistle register. her actual range is 4.2

You should compare the same songs in studio version and live version. Having different songs of high notes and studio highs are not good comparison. The song is different therefore the note doesn't have to be the same. Also some live performances are shorter then the original song due to tv time or whatever the case may be.

I do admit I have seen a couple of performances where I was like I know she is better then that. But when she is on, man she is on point. A true and real singer.

Just downloaded and listened out of curiosity and there's no way she hits Bb5 in chest on that song, she doesn't even reach A5!
