  • Kid Hood - 1st verse.. so dope. murdered 3 days after the original scenario.. RIP Troy Anthony Hall

  • rip kid hood

  • boy these were the days!!! a rare time!!! this remix is off the hook....

  • Here Lies Hip Hop Born: 1979 Died: 1997

  • Theres no crews anymore, atleast not like these 2 greatest. They could rhyme with anyone,if they put you on,better step that shit up,lol,MANY STYLES MANY STYLES! I can probably say, maybe one of the blue prints of a REMIX! Uh Uh!---@Diddy...

  • ''one is in spiritual essence''...R.I.P. sick of seeing brothers like Charizma and Kid Hood go out like that and they had such lyrical talent and careers was short lived cause of some bullshit in the streets. i ALWAYS loved this remix.

  • @yungstunnaandjetfly Yeah Charizma would have been big, he would have been a big artist for Stones Throw records

  • Oh My..such an exciting time!!! (golden era)

  • I'm packin' my roach spray, anyway.

  • This is hip hop ladies and gentlemen.

    The best of the best.

    Check out no. 1.

  • I miss Roadhouse :(

  • the top book on hip-hop

    is out, with Tribe-Called-Quest speakin

on loads of their methods of rhyming,

peep the book by goin to the page for it:

    ..:howtorapbook ., com

  • best remix

  • "Vanilla Ice Platinum? That shits ridiculous" I had this on cassette, B Side. Sang it all through Boot Camp in 92'.

  • This record is one of the best remixes ever made!

It represants so many great memories from my youth.

Well to be honest a lot of Tribe records do!

  • as much as i love the original, this is the best sequel in the history of hip hop! this is so hard body it makes me wanna act like i'm in a mosh pit! hood(RIP) was so ahead of his time with the grimyness!

  • Rhythm Will Hit 'Em

    Then I Get 'Em

    I'm Gonna Sh!t On 'Em

    Hit On 'Em

Then I Will Sit On 'Em

  • I like Hood portion, especially the part that was put on Ras Kass' Oral Sex: "You say 'oh no', you bitch ass homo"

  • LOVE IT!

  • May be my favorite hip hop song of all time. Listen to it at LEAST once a week...This kind of shit is dead. RIP real hip hop....

  • Early 90s hip hop is the true rap music of truth of the game of rap and also this will never happen again in music history.

  • The original scenario was dope in it's on right...but the remix just goes hard!!! :)

  • TO ALL THOSE FANS OF KID HOOD CHECK OUT HIS DEMO TRACK CALLED "Drop the Bomb" you can find it here on youtube

  • sweeeeeeeeet

  • ahh yeah dopness :) i saw them live recently in sydney but it really couldnt compare to the sickness of this kinda styles with the good old kid hood pitty he died coz he was gonna be a heaps know rapper

  • The first verse was nothing special in my opinion.i dont believe this is one of the best verses Cliffinator1 ever heard.I feel that people take artists words way too far into consideration while forming an opinion.

  • 8 whack rappers don't like this.....

  • miss that shit

  • 8 "bastards" need to get "baseball batted" for disliking this joint....

  • REAL F*(&ing HIP HOP not this garbage out now

  • I had this on cassette single when it came out, I knew everybody's verse on this joint. Seriously one of my favorite Hip Hop songs in the history of the genre. There have been MANY posse cuts over the years, but this is by far one of my personal favorites. Ranks up there with the "Flava in ya Ear" remix.

  • QTip was noted as saying Kid Hood could've drastically changed 90's hip hop... His lyrics at the beginning... In my opinion... Was some of the best ive ever heard. This was his first... and last track. R.I.P Mr. Hall.

  • @Cliffinator1 Q-Tip is 4 me one of the best MC's with Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and KRS ONE

  • @geischeissen DONT FORGET COMMON

  • @SHKDWN79 @ the beginning of the 90's he was much better...

and i mean he is a little bit differt like the other...

  • @geischeissen Dont 4get Common He From That Era Too

  • @Cliffinator1 which one was he

  • @thatbboyAli kid hood is the first to rip the beat..

  • Hot remix! The remix is better than the original version. LOVE IT BABY!!!

  • This right here shits on everything that was released in the bullshit year of 2010

    1992 > 2010

    Fuck 2010

  • @KaniHoodieAndTimbs I agree.

  • @KaniHoodieAndTimbs SAY IT AGAIN

  • This is part of the blueprint of the difference in between rap and hip hop. Hip hop is the essence of expression, rap is the commercial byproduct of the mainstream. Know the difference and recognize it. We may never have artists like this again....

  • @vassel14 SAY IT AGAIN

  • Dopest Remix!!! This is real hip hop!! REAL HIP-HOP ya feel me!!

  • It's enough, Busta, rhythm will hit 'em, then I get 'em

Rip on 'em, shit on 'em, hit on 'em, then I will sit on 'em!!

  • "...as for corny MC's, like Chuck D, I shut 'em down!"

  • if anyone has the footage with all of them (minus kid hood of course) performing the remix in '92 at the beacon theatre, please upload. they shut the beacon completely down to the core while performing this. not to mention, it was the only time (other than at the apollo) they all came together to perform the remix.

  • @leeperryismerry He's not dissin Chuck D he is using PE's song Shut em down as an example. As for phony mc's like Chuck D I shut em down

  • @skiddww01 ^ right answer!! who would wanna diss public enemy!!

  • @xs3kShUun8x yeh dats dumb :P

  • @skiddww01

ah ok glad he didn't diss Chuck D he's a legend!!

  • Can't believe Phife disses Chuck D!

    haha

    sick tune though

  • @leeperryismerry lol..it does sound he disses chuck d

  • @uchenna3 nah i see this as a reference

  • @MastuhDeesnutz...oh no doubt its a reference.......but in a way it does sound like hes going at chuck d....i always thought that.. this song was a summer 92 banger along with TROY and jodeci's come and talk to me.

  • @leeperryismerry Nah...he wasn't dissing Chuck D he was just referencing the Public Enemy song Shut 'Em Down in the sense that that's what he does to corny MC's...

  • this beat reminds me of uh' cypher -.-

  • This is up there with 5 Boroughs as one of the best posse cuts ever

  • IMAGINE IF HOOD WAS STILL WITH US

  • hood!! rest in peace

  • hood!!

  • For those that don't know:

    Song: Scenario (Remix)

Musician: A Tribe Called Quest featuring Leaders of the New School and Kid Hood

    Year: 1992 AD

  • this is hard as hell

  • KID HOOD SET IT OFF WENT IN HARD RIP

  • @DYNOMITEKEITH ...................

  • Kid Hood's name was Troy Anthony Hall, He lived in a group home in Harlem, NY. The day he died, He went to do laundry with some other members of the group home and got caught up in some beef that another group home member started, he was beaten and shot in the head, His best friend and manager Kenny Lee introduced him to Qtip. RIP Kid Hood

  • @DraggAddams Sad. And from what I understand, that happened when they were contemplating making a video for Scenario Remix.

  • @DraggAddams Actually, I read that Kid Hood died in a fire... a very different story.. Although I did hear the bit about him living in a group home and this was his first and last bit... sad...would love to know exactly what thappened..

  • @DraggAddams Kid Hood was Dope! It's a shame he didn't live to make a bigger mark in Hip Hop! R.I.P.

    I'm a bad, bad man"

  • Sweuhl1, it had to be '92...common sense. The first thing Buster said on the track was "Here in 1992, we present the fabulous..."

Anyways, I agree with you Hood riped it:

  • Joe Budden's Pump It Up sampled this

  • This was in 1992. That year Hood got shot, early that year before it was released. This came out almost right after the original, I DJ'd a party and when i played this joint the place went bananas. Good times, now we just got Walmart rap.

  • kid hood murdered this. one of the tightest hardcore verses of all time stilll.

  • @mddarch YEAH DUNNY...KID HOOD SHIT WAS THE HARDEST!! THAT LARRY DAVIS VERSE IS THE SICKEST!! TOO BAD HE GOT MERKED...S.M.H. SAD

  • ONE OF THE GREATEST REMIXES FROM THE "GOLDEN AGE"....

  • Yo Yo Yo! LONS was the shit! I wonder what happened to the rest of the crew (excluding Busta cos I know what he made). They had the most complex flows in this era. Hopefully, Busta will get em all togetha for a reunion song!

  • For all you 90's babies who think the crap youre listening to now is hip hop. Check out the hip hop from my generation and learn something.

  • For all you 90's babies who think the crap youre listening to now is hip hop. Check out the hip hop from my generation and learn something.

  • this sounds like joe budden, pump me up

  • @bdscavenger Correction - "joe budden, pump me up" sounds like this.

  • @rockhills well i stand corrected

  • @rockhills REALLY DOESN'T.

  • The beat is ill as shit. That guitar and the creepy violin to end it. I never knew what the guy was sayin on the sample. Sounds like he says 'Ow, Man.', then it goes 'Alright!'. I use to just rock the instrumental and make my own lil raps up I was so inspired. Scenario Remix... One Of The Best Rap Songs Of All Time! Believe Daaat!

  • The legendary Scenario Remix. What can I say? A lil trivia is in order for hip hop heads. Who used this beat first? Ima come back ina month to see. This was maybe the hardest hitting track from the east coast for A LONG MINUTE! Maybe the best song from out NY from 92-96. That's a hell of a reign in rap for one song. It was totally diff frm the original and it was historic. 7 mcs on one song man! In 92? Cmon!

  • @machokingwwf i think its kool and the gang.

  • @machokingwwf BDP used 7 mc's on one song in the track "7 deejays" off the edutainment album in 1990

  • what happened to hood?

  • @Animaniacs11 He got killed before the sng came out.

  • R.I.P. Hood.

  • @Lykwidswordz420 sorry pump it up

  • just Brown the best

  • dis is that shit

  • I like this track!

  • maaaaadd dope

  • damn q tip killed it!!!!!!

  • R.IP. HOOD. you brought lyrical perfection with that verse!

  • @MrPhillyrick1

hood is hard as hell on this track.

  • @briank1ne "do like michael jackson and remember the time. put on your dancing shoes or something cause you sure cant rhyme!"

i keep hearing people say who's the best on this track. there is no "best"

on each verse, whether its a strong MC or mediocre MC,

    its pure HIP HOP!

its been two decades since the radio played MCs rhyming last this every hour on the hour.
