  • I just went to your fan page and liked it to follow you. You can call me as your biggest fan! :)

  • Great music- this is the first time I’ve ever listen to this type of music but anyways it made me search for more songs of Radio for the Daydreamers and I like it. Thank you for the upload.

  • It really shows that different people has different reaction on each songs. Some may like it and some may not but if you will ask me I will join the group who like this song. Especially the effects! Love it!

  • How on earth you were able to make this video? I find it interesting and hope you can share some secret to me about the video. Thumbs up!

  • @natgxoc

If you're wondering about the dark space, it was shot in a black room with well placed spotlights. If you want to know more about the post production editing you can send me a PM.

  • I love the effects and everything. I know some people might misinterpret this video but for me this 100% a work of art. Love the music.

  • I have always been a metal head, but finding this was the best thing in my lief!

  • Очень впечатляет. Вы понимаете, мой вид искусства

  • never done drugs in my life but thanks too this video, now I kno what it feel like

  • I think this video and song is about having to play multiple people in your life. flomightyflo have a beautiful description about being a secret dancer while to the outside world, she is just twisting umbrella. Being happy when you go to that place in her head when no one is watching and just dance around and be "normal" when outside world is watching (because of the light). Very pretty. I wish I could put this on repeat forever

  • Tapping into progressive ambient music has it's own implied challenges. Throwing jazz and metal into the mix is even more difficult. RftD has done nothing less than democratically combine these genres, yet letting each one of them come into their own. Every song I've heard from them has it's own inlaid discovery. Much like any single, Wasted Faces captures the band at a height of their chemistry and the rest of their music is equally if not more compelling. radioforthedaydreamers.bandcamp.com/

  • LOL I forgot I already commented on this @_@

  • This is a true testimony of experimental music. There was probably no one telling these guys to write a song this way, or telling the director of this video to have any restrictions with what they can say. I watch this video atleast 40 times a day. Thank you for sharing this!

  • Bought MSAHFOM yesterday and I have to say, I feel like part of my brain just got the shit beaten out of it.. So i looked RftD up on youtube and found this. I cant remember any other band being this diverse with their sound. This video is amazingm, almost hypnotic. And the music is soooooo cool. Anyone have thoughts about what the title means by the way?

  • @malcolmsray The title definitely has a drug reference in it. The whole album and artwork are laid out with drug references and I think its about secretly being high and dancing around in your head with different thoughts and ideas, while to the outside world, you are just twisting your umbrella in a spotlight. Very profound and "deep".

  • @flomightyflo It is seriously sad if you think that song is about being high. Just because it has "WASTED" in the title? GROW THE FUCK UP!!

  • @wednesdayyvette I think its fucked up that you think being high is only comparable to being "wasted". Stop tryring to distract the conversation into your world of stupidity. ENjoy the music, Enjoy the video.

  • @flomightyflo Thats a prettty good understanding of the video. There is definitely a spectacle being presented here and it seems that it is all happening between the two shots of the girl twisiting around and being playful with the umbrella. Do you think it says something about the author of this composition? Like the girl dancing in the video is maybe secretly a dancer but no one wants her to be, which is why secretly she lets go and dances her ass off while being playful in spotlight?

  • @sumwungye: You have made it possible for me to sleep at night mate. You're description makes the best sense of all. Notice that the description also states that the character in question, is a 'faustian' character, so the devil has to be involved somewhere. My interpretation of the album, thousands of listens and is that the character in question is frustrated with the "superiority" the world has given him. Hence, now his fields of "grain", are turning into "migraines". Listen closer people!

  • People need to stop treating everything like a conspiracy. Art has multiple meanings, lets just enjoy this amazing work of art. Is this album out yet?

  • @preacherpreacherprea

Not yet but expect it to be out early August.

  • If you look at the album art for "mother superior and eher fields of migraine", you will see that there is a picture labelled "wasted faces" and it has these words on it "behind this wall, we stand tall, with bloody guts and broken faces. Bring out your dead and we will impress, wasted faces in secret places". I think that might be a very clear indication of what this video is about. The seduction of loneliness is a possibility but there is a wall that the girl is "standing tall" behind.

  • @conjunctionintown also, The acoustic version of the song is also labelled "behind this wall acoustic version" (which is brilliant :D). Also, on their bandcamp they said the album is about seclusion, so I think this is more of a celebration of one's loneliness, than seduction of loneliness

  • @conjunctionintown: interesting point, but you should read the whole description. "This section tells the story of our character indulging in misery, seclusion.... anxieties and a need to break out to help his own mind." This video is most likely the visual interpretation of the concept of the album. The whole video, it seems like the girl is secluded, and is trying to break out, just like the character of the album. Can the OP post the description for convenience please?

  • The title of the album still baffles me though. No help on that anywhere. "Mother Superior And Her Fields Of Migraine", the only thing I can think of is the beatles reference from "happiness is a warm gun", with the lyric "mother superior, jump the gun". But I do not see any other Beatles references or even influence on RftD's music. Someone help me out!

P.S: Awesome video. No words can describe how amazing this song is, but the music video is as unbelievable. Kudos!!

  • @flomightyflo I'm pretty sure that's not a Beatles reference. "A mother superior is an abbess or other nun in charge of a Christian religious order."

And "Fields of Migraine" is really just a play on words with "fields of grain" and "migraine."

  • @SumWunGye: So you are basically saying that this album is about an authoritative female figure with her "fields of migraine"? It makes sense in a weird sort of way,, but then why would they refer to the character as a male? A lot of songs on the album would not make sense if your theory were true. Intriguing point tho :P

  • @wednesdayyvette It doesn't all have to fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. Each listener can fill in the blanks differently on their own and still be right. And I think that's part of what makes Radio for the Daydreamers so great: their music doesn't tell a story, but so many stories can be told with their music.

  • @SumWunGye I happen to be pretty good firends with the guy who writes most of the music for RftD and I know that he is obsessed by the movie 'trainspotting'. I feel the "mother superior" reference is from that movie instead of the definition. It would be pretty bland if he just used a dictionary definition of something and used it as a title. The name of the album is very importent and therefor reference to a great movie like that. You make it sound like there was no thought put in this :(

  • @outgorenine Oh no, I didn't mean it like that at all. I was just showing how "mother superior" wasn't a Beatles reference. And I didn't mean "they don't put a point in their music," but their music is so versatile, unique to each listener. (ps, I also know Aki too, so I didn't mean any disrespect [:)

  • @SumWunGye That makes a lot of sense. It is almost like the album is about losing your faith in something. Songs like "with wings, you will learn how to fall" and "every god is a monster" are almost proof that this album is about looking at the very negative extreme and is almost setting up for the next part which I cant wait for. 15 songs are just not enough!

  • @SumWunGye @outgorenine you seem to be pretty close to the band, do you know whatsup with there website? (radioforthedaydreamers(dot)com/) it just plays a really creepy song on an infinite loop and just redirects you to the same page. I wish I could make out the lyrics!

  • @diescifi666 hah, oh, yeah. That's really just a test website for just-in-case, maybe someday. Their actual website right now is their facebook.

  • Brilliant! is all i have to say. Great visuals to a Great number. You guys should make a short movie. This music is surely cinematic, if not theatrical. Good luck to you guys in the future!

  • Wow, this is great. Radio for the Daydreamers fails to disappoint, and this video is full of interesting shots and angles. I especially like @1660cybersmith 's interpretation that the girl is trying to seduce her inner self. Subtle filming for a subtle song. Brilliant job to everyone :)

  • probably not what you were going for, but it seems very sensual. Almost like the girl is trying to seduce her own sense of loneliness. Very well filmed and very well written. The video is very appropraite for the music. Thank you for sharing this :p

  • tthank you so much for the bandcamp link. Bought this album, loved it. I recommend it to everyone. Can someone upload the acoustic version of this song on youtube? It is as amazing, if not slightly more!

  • There is no denying you guys are amazing on your own, but your collaborations are even better!! This is an amazing video to an amazing song. Mindblowing as always

  • well done aki and crew!

  • absolutely wow, i liked the silhouette effect with the umbrella and the spot light and the mirror effect and the fractal patterns you created with the dancing movements of the girl.perfect for this song. It could have been even better towards the end but overall really really good. great work. and yeah the starting is amazing. first video and you more or less killed it! good luck! love <3

  • @abstract12345 I am sorry but I disagree that it could be better towards the end. It is a perfect video to a perfect song! How can you pick and choose what you like about a work of art? Sorry, not trying to refute your point, just not sure what you mean.

P.S: Congratulations to an amazing band.. This is my favorite song so far

  • This video perfectly matches the music: a kaleidoscopic and psychedelic experience that's fine as wine (and that girl dancing in the video, lol).
