@videomasta09 You can, but they have worse performance that AGP or PCI-Express. Also, you will only find second hand or refurbished. Some PCI cards, like S3 Trio/Savage, need to be set up as primary on bios to work, and games attempt to use the primary graphics card, so they wont work. At the end, if all you want is a secondary monitor, the less hassle is get an AGP card with dual output (More than one DVI/VGA/HDMI plug)

ok, mine is a Nvidia fx series, and i put it in the slot, it comes up on like a weird boot screen sayin weird shit like PNY technologies FX(somenumbers) Nvidia corporation

then it wont boot up, it will just stay at that screen and not do anything, can someone help me??

Yes you can, Buy a new AGP slot, Then take the old one, You will have to take the mother board out, And the 2 clips on the back that hold on your AGP slot, Squeeze them together with plyers, And it will pop out, ,Then put the slips into the new AGP slot holes, and clip it on...

- Check what your Motherboard-name is and try "google" it and you will see the specs of the motherboard and of what kind of Graphics Card it allows: AGP or PCI-E

Well it depends what kind of PCI you are using conventional, x, or PCIe (pci express) if you are using an agp slot that is x8 it would be better to use a C PCI that is x16.

but if you have a black slot in there somewhere that is the PCI express it would be best to use that. basically they are diffrent but do the same thing
