I found this transmission on craigslist, the getrag f23, is that a good tranny? Also how would I go about doing as in like where the pedal goes, how to install that, or how I would get the stick in the center etc? I have been curious about this for a while
@inks3f i swapped it in my apartment parking lot, stripped the whole interior and pulled the trans, added pedals, shift cables. modified the firewall plate, and a lot more work
its a getrag 284 from a 91-93 w-body (lumina/ cutlass/ grand prix) its been under the knife and I'm going for well over 700whp in the next couple months, I've recently upgraded to a tilton triple disc 7.25" clutch with a 1 off custom flywheel too. now with ported heads and a holden (Australia) 3.8 modified intake setup.
its also now upgraded to a t76 billet and ball bearing turbonetics turbo upgraded from last years t66 journal bearing
It's a shame to think the GTP was a stick-shift away from being one of the best sleepers of all time. It was a pretty good sleeper once people finally caught on to turbocharging it, but man the curves just look so much better when not forced through a slush box.

@ftheworld641 < getrag 282 (88-90 grand prix 3.1L) getrag 284 (91-93 grand prix 3.4L)_ my transmission
you could also use a f40 (6-speed for a g6) or a 2.2 cav transmission but i wouldnt suggest anything but a 284 as they are strong,
this is my car and it holds up great, i have recently switched over to a tilton 3 disc clutch.
