Teabag people don't read books, don't read the newspaper, watch FOX news (Just as Credible as Communist China CCTV), they're Home-schooled, these people carry guns with them, afraid of Facts, burn history books, racists, Oil loving, War Mongers who want to let all Prisoners Loose, have an Anarchy No-Laws No-Tax Government, That's what these people represent!

@pdow5.2 -- Please, you're weak minded for watching Fox News who is a Republican Party Agency who reports Propaganda, StoriesTelling, Lies, Slander, Hate, OIL, Killing, and Feces. Two years later 2,000,000 US manufacturing jobs are lost to Communist China because of Republican Policy, today it's 18,000,000 US jobs to Communist GOP lovers!
@limbaughisgay Oh please! Bush was almost as much of a commie as Obama! My support is not for the Republican party, it is for the conservative agenda. Isn't it funny how the media fills you in on stuff like your Bush bullshit, yet ignores the fact that Obama offended the Brits by sending back a bust of Winston Churchill. FOXNews is the ONLY place where you can get the truth. Next you'll call me a racist for hating communism. Facepalm.
@limbaughisgay Also, Michael "I love communism" Moore absolutely crucified Bush for playing golf, yet Obama has spent more time on the golf course and basketball court in his one and a half years in office than Bush spent in eight years! I bet MSNBC or "Mainstream Socialist News Bull Crap" or CNN aka "Communist News Network" never reported that!
@pdow52: I'll never change your mind, you'll never change my mind, your always wrong, I'm always right, your for killing, slaying, oil, anti-middle class, anti-america, lawlessness, anarchy, hate, division, greed, racist, redneck, communist china loving, money, oil spills, pro BP, confederate, Lies, You Selfish Fuck who thinks its about Himself & no one else! @nVei06 Having actually read the Gospels, something I'd be surprised you have ever come close to attempting, I damn well do know what I'm talking about. Reading John 3:16 then skipping to Revelations is not, repeat not, reading the Gospels. Hell, the entirety of John should never have been included in the first place, given that it was written 100 years after Jesus died. @nVei06 It is okay to kill people? That doesn't sound very Christian... Oh, wait, yeah it does... @RulerofHollywood Test the beliefs of others, but love and care for and accept that person anyway. There is only one reality, so not every religion can be valid.
The crusades were a result of the State meddling in the Church's affairs and visa-versa. True Christianity is about loving God above all, and loving all creation through loving God. It is also about taking responsibility for your own sins and repenting on behalf of all humanity for the sake of all creation.
Wow, look at all the thumbs down. All you Fox haters can't get past your bitterness and see that they were referencing a poll done by NY Times and CBS - hardly the kind of people who are going to cut the tea partiers a break. Is it so hard to admit you are wrong about the make up of the tea party crowd, that they aren't a bunch of drooling imbeciles?
@ODonnellII these are a bunch of devils. The idea of the value of the idividual and power to th epeople in benevolence and truth is the American foundation which was even Christian in nature as opposed to the other countries which were and are still satanic. POWER TO THE POWERFUL. that is the liberal agenda. They are anti-american's.
People are convinced the tea party people are stupid, violent, and racist because that's what the liberal media portrays them as. I don't like watching Fox News, but MSNBC is just as bad when it comes to bias. Last summer I went to a tea party with my sister, who is very involved in running them, to see what it was like. No violence or racism, just civil protesting.
I don't completely agree with her or her movement, but I do know she does a ton of research on the subjects she talks about.
The difference between the Tea Party Protestors and the Obama supporters is very simple.....Tea Party protestors make thier own signs and dont get paid by the government for thier time. The Obama supporters need to just go to Craigs list and they can find a protestor job in the employment section. And they get a free government made sign and T-shirt too!! Losers!
The level of spelling on some of their signs tells us another story. This is why polls and such are the biggest load of crap. Most of those teabaggers are exactly what everyone else thinks; bigot idiots. Why is it so hard for Americans to ask the obvious early on. I all has to be such high drama. All the media acts like they cannot do any reporting. Why don't they research and ask questions. It seems as if America never grows out of thinking Wrestling is real.
i went to a few marches/ conventions of the tea partiers and i have to say nothing heard on the news about them is right. They were the most loving, accepting people ive probably ever seen, how about you go to one of their marches and listen to them before you pass judgement
Am I the only one that noticed the demographics say, "Not a HS Graduate 3%" and "HS Graduate 26%"? How can you be neither a graduate or NOT a graduate? And then he's talking about intellect? While Palin is their prominent leader who says, "I can see Russia from my house" as part of her foreign affairs experience? Or her affiliations with religious groups that say Alaska is going to be the nation's savior? And where were they when the repubs were doing all their taxing? They're all racists.
@franzsmr the poll listed the highest level of education "indoctrination" attained, while not implicitly stated, can be inferred, by your observation, as well as adding up all the numbers. So tea baggers=99% total all=100%- btw I did not graduate high school, I am self taught.
@particletheory Ah ok, thanks for the clarification. That makes sense. Faux Noise tends to use false statistics and because it wasn't clarified, I figured it was another attempt at duping their base. Of course, everyone can lie with statistics. They could just as easily have picked who they talked to and where, i.e. rallies at a college could probably bring more high school graduates than a rally near a ghetto. It just seems coincidence that they only began rioting after Obama came in.
@bushputz I'm not saying the statistics are true, I'm just saying that what particletheory said makes sense as to how the information was being displayed. Seeing how Tea Partyers are behaving, what corporations are backing them(FOX, Americans for Prosperity, etc), the ridiculous claims they are making, and who their leaders are, if they are truly educated then they must have thrown it to the wayside and de-evolved to illiterate bigots that went back to the Dark Ages.
Spoken by a man who released child molesters (and repeated their offense including murdering a child), and cop killers - he PARDONED them. And his SON got a stray dog, HUNG IT BY THE NECK and BEAT IT while screaming in agony to get his ROCKS OFF and big daddy FUCKabee made sure he got away with it. Hung a dog by the neck - there is an old saying that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Thoughtful, intelligent, well-read, educated people...who think Socialism, Fascism, and Liberalism are all the same, think tax cuts are tax increases, think losing an election is the same as tyranny, and think having a black president must be "unconstitutional"...(somehow).
If these are the nations educated elite, we're F@CKED.
@TrollBuster9090 haha socialism liberalism and fascism are incompatible on so many levels i'm awe struck that these "educated" people don't understand that. They may be high paid and educated but they still spit ignorant talking points caused by their blind hatred of our half black president.
@TrollBuster9090 prove they think they're the same. More unwarrented mudslinging from the left. I know the difference, and I'm a Tea Party supporter (so far). In Marxism, Socialism is the transition stage out of Capitalism and into Communism. If you don't believe me, check out a dictionary or encyclopedia.
@EverythingZen14 Yup, it's called a socialist democracy. There is almost no pure form of democracy on earth. Some are just a bit more or less socialist. It's a mix of whatever works. Currently, I don't see how our hyper capitalist system is working very well what with the greed and the boom and bust cycle that only helps the mega wealthy.
Wait! They're thoughtful, intelligent, well-read, educated people? That's a good one. Next they'll say that Nike shoes are made in LA. Hahahaha.
I don't see any of that. All I see is a bunch of paranoid, neurotic, easily riled up, ignorant, Ronald Regan worshiping (because he was the last and ONLY good Republican president ever), attention-starved xenophobes who bought into FOX's scare tactics. Hell, I'm willing to bet that most of them are closet racists.
@Tenac1ous So is Fuckabee's son who tortured a stray dog to death, handing it by the neck and beating it to death to get his rocks off. THe apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
What you tell a polster and what is actually fact can be a mile apart. I do not doubt that alot of these teabaggers say they have degrees and that they earn vast sums of money. If asked to spell delusional , I think they might struggle.
Go to a tea party and you'll see a broad spectrum of intellects, educational backgrounds, professional backgrounds, ect...
Break from your herd mentality people! Not every tea party member is as dumb as Sarah Palan (thank god), and neither are they as intelligent as Ron Paul (although I'd like it that way), so stop trying to dismiss/degrade a movement about Limited Government, Free-Markets, and Liberty to nothing more then a bunch of uneducated white racist gun carrying Republicans.
Why is it then, that when they are questioned about which specific policies they take issue with, they only speak in generalities like "He's taking our Freedom"? Even when Fox News does the interviews, most of the rank-and-file still come across as ignorant.
Hey, when you poll staffers that are paid to pretend to protest by lobby groups, you might get these poll results. I'm curious that the mainstream media isn't really interviewing many of the protesters. The few interviews I have seen do not indicate intelligence, or awareness of policy or issues.
The very fact that they waited 200 plus years to protest taxes, despite 95% of Americans getting a tax cut, indicates plenty. Makes me wonder what has changes all of a sudden (maybe a black president)
so what the tea party people are people who wrap them selfs in the flag, act like they care about the USA but really just hate the black guy in power and anyone who sides with him. So what if they are smart or not still the same outcome
I wonder if the teabaggers THEMSELVES have ever read the Constitution in full? Things like "the Congress shall declare war", authority which Congress has pretty much abdicated to the PRESIDENT since Korea. Nowhere in there does it say anything about pansy-ass resolutions, esp. for "use of force." It says in clear terms "declaration of war!" Why is it so hard for our leaders to just declare war these days? Are they afraid of offending the people of that nation not involved w/ dictators?
@whoo689 If Congress declared war on Germany twice, couldn't we do the same for Korea, Vietnam, etc.? It's not like the Vietcong were nice people, after all.
@whoo689 Plus, EVEN IF there's a slightly larger number of "educated" (aka schooling) people than the overall population at tea parties, that doesn't mean a damn thing. Most Republicans have gone to prestigious institutions, and a lot of them were probably wealthy enough to pay for it. Republicans generally are more 'educated' in terms of college education, but I think that's mainly b/c they're better able to afford to go there.
As you can see, Republicans today are, by and large, dumber than a bag of rocks and extremely anti-intellectual, superstitious and anti-science. Why should I believe that schooling makes you any more intelligent? It may make you more 'well-read' to a point, but if you've always been dumb, you probably won't get smarter just b/c of college.
@whoo689 Some guy here trying to rebut this sort of point to me by pointing out that Gretchen Carlson went to Yale or some Ivy League institution, as if that somehow validates an argument that she's smart but "faking dumbness." I don't buy it for a second. Carlson's just a dumbfuck overall. So what if she went to colelge some 20-odd years ago. She probably forgot most or all of what she learned anyway.
If his idea of "educated" are people who think Obama's a Muslim, stand by signs that call Obama a "nigger" (albeit mispelled), compare him to Hitler, and other ludicrous claims, either Huckabee is certifiably insane or has never actually been to one of these rallies. A guy from my local campus news channel (Mizzou) actually went to a Columbia, MO, tea party, and he asked them about the dinosaurs and socialism (2 completely different topics) to mock them, AND THEY TOOK THE BAIT! seriously
The Republican's are just seeing a gullible and easily motivated base in the tea party. So long as you simplify the rhetoric and cater to the very onesided perspective it isn't difficult to gain their support.
@frodoondabass Whats wrong with trying to be elite, this country, this economy survives because 'elite' individuals have made it prosperous, dont demonize the hand that feeds.
@jasoncutbirth In fact, I agree with you. I believe in capitalism. But I find all this amusing because there are those within the Tea Party movement which depict themselves as everyday Joes combating the "liberal elite". And today we have discovered that's not the truth, and in fact may very well be the opposite. That's all really :)
@jasoncutbirth oh thats fucking ritch a teabagger tell people to brake from the herd. I watch CNN, PBS, BBC and multiple websites like Reuters for news. When was the last time anyone in the teabagger herd changed their TV from Faux Noise.
We will all have to pay off the Republican spending spree to benefit the richest of the rich, along with financing a trumped up war for oil. Billionaires pay more in taxes than McDonald's employees, but they still are BILLIONAIRES! Stop the corporate welfare and join the rest of the sane majority. Republicans don't give a damn about the middle class, they work for the richt, and the filthy rich, NOT for you and me!
Republicans are the self-serving whores of Corporate America, always were!
sooooo okay the repubs are worried that their children and grandchildren and so on will have to pay for the health reform BUUTTTT they weren;t worried about the over 1 trillion dollars Bush spent on his two failed wars or the huge deficits that he ran up while in office...nor were they worried about HIS BAILOUT of wallstreet.
remeber bush was in office during the bailout not Obama repubtards.
Really? If they are so smart then why do they yell stuff like "Keep your govt hands off my Medicare?" lol
Why do they not know the difference b/w Socialism, Communism and Left-Marxism?
Why are they protesting higher taxes when Obama just gave a tax cut to 95% of working pple, pple who make under 250K?
Either they are ignorant of their tax cut or If all tea baggers got a tax increase it's b/c they make 250K a year, thus they clearly represent the top 5% and not Avg America like they claim
Huckabee is totally right about the Tea Party. They are the most educated people on the planet for they are GOD's CHOSEN PEOPLE and are GOD's PARTY! They will become the overwhelming majority by 2012 and take over our government installing President Sarah Palin. They will be completely successful in their cause and the Tea Party Palin Revolution will bring REAL CHANGE and HOPE to DC in the Palination!
Don't make me laugh. Well educated....these are the same people who believe Obama was not born in the USA. In fact I know some tea baggers who actually believe Hawaii is a territory and not a state. lol
Such hypocracy. People have been warning about the dangers of the deficits for 20 years while the Republican party spent like a drunken sailor. In 1980 the deficit was under 1 trillion. By the end of Reagan and Bush 1 is stood at around 5.6 trillion. By the end of Bush 2 is was at over 10 trillion. The money spent under Obama has been used to try and fix some of the damage of Bush 2. I don't support Obama and I am against the money spent to prop up the banks and wall street. Huckabee is a liar.
...and Germany in the early 1900's was the center of learning in Europe, and the technological leader of the world.
Teabagger's emotions are being pandered to like a bunch of 19yr old frat boys in Tijuana. I think we have plenty of evidence that "well educated" people can get caught up emotionally in some pretty stupid social structures.
I love how a college education is often seen as elite by conservatives until a portion of their side is shown to be well educated, then it becomes an okay thing to parade about.
They are the ones in the country clubs calling Obama, Boy, Nigger, Socialist, etc. They are sore losers. They lost the election to the majority of Americans who see progressiveness in economics, and social issues. These old rich white men want it back to the good old days, when the black men carried their golf clubs, served them scotch, and they paid low taxes because their buddies the Republicans got them for them.
If these people are well-read, why are they complaining about taxes when Obama cut taxes? If they are well educated, why are they complaining about taxation without representation? If they are thoughtful, why are they against health care regulation that would make it more accessible? If they are intelligent, why am I asking any of these questions?
@chaossource You hit it dead on the nose! I only wish these Tea Baggers would simply ask ONE of those questions and get the factual answer instead of the fear mongering drival they believe from their "leaders" who are trying to position themselves to take back "power"!
You also have to question the validity of the answers given by these Tea Baggers. Also, I hear these jack-asses continually saying "we're tired of all this and we're not going to take it anymore!". My question is, where were you 2, 3, 4, 5 years ago? It's not like this situation was suddenly born when Obama was elected. What, the only way you would approve of the way Obama cleaned up Bush/Rep Congress mess was to wave a magic wand and there wouldnt be some form of sacrifice?
@TheHealthySkeptic "You also have to question the validity of the answers given by these Tea Baggers."
I seriously thought of that too. I'm perhaps incorrectly giving the Times the benefit of the doubt in checking for truthfulness . I will say the poll appears to be in startling stalk contrast to simple empirical study.
@cosmosgato There really wouldn't be any way for the Times to fact check the truthfulness or validity of their answers, unless they took each Tea Baggers personal info and did background investigations or required physical proof to cooberate their answers. And beside that not being practical or realistic you KNOW these people would NEVER give personal information for fear that the evil Obama government would come to get them, take their guns and round them up in "camps".
@entropyfu lol I can't believe he said that to point out that they are smart. Civics in the 9th grade teaches you shit. Real learning doesn't really take place until college in my experience
@SJamesGray It says they mostly have "some" college. And wouldnt almost anybody answer that question affirmatively, even if it wasnt true? I dont believe the tea partiers are well educated. Fox Snooze watchers are very very stupid. OReilly and Beck and Hannity talk like they are speaking to small children. Nobody with an education could take that for long.
If a tea-partier makes more than $250K a year, then more power to them. If they make less than that, they are stupid. Period.
When you consider that 75% of the Tea party is over 45 years of age and mostly male and the control group is the entire population. It is not that dramatic. Really is it that shocking that white males born in the 50's reaped benefits?
Now the polling I'd like to see is what percentage of these Tea Partiers are either below the income level where they pay no net income taxes (i.e. 50% of the US population, or are on Medicare.)
What you bet there's a disproportionate amount?
Especially considering clearly, their free time doesn't seem to be worth that much.
And Fox and Huckabee will naturally drawn a set of conclusions from this poll that suits their outlook, and progressives will draw one that suits theirs.
@voyeurdug "Folks that well educated and thoughtful certainly wouldn't even associate with Tea Partiers"
Correct and that is not what the poll states.
What it really infers is that many white males born before 1955 are now only doing marginally better then the entire U.S. Pop. which is likely the cause of the distress.
No, they are rich, old, white people that got pissed because their taxes was getting raised 3% or whatever it was. If they were well-read and thoughtful than they would atleast know what the hell they're protesting and not get spoon-fed Republican propaganda.
Mr Huckabee makes a salient point. I'm not American, nor have I been to any of those protests, but the only people I have spoken with who have gone, are well read and rather intelligent people, mostly independants a far cry from the redneck hicks the media portrays.
@xTheOxx in all honesty I have seen much more measured and impassioned reporting on them in the last 2 months from various sources. But last year and into this year there was a clear effort to paint them in a negative light.
What might have changed recently is that the media is not focusing so much on the misspelled signs, but more on the central claims of the Tea Partiers, mainly that they feel Obama is a socialist extremist and the most radical President of all times. With a message like that, the Tea Partiers will remain a 10% minority and will still be perceived by a lot of people as "redneck hicks".
@xTheOxx understood, I get that. and I have seen videos where they beat up on him too much, just like how folks used to do to Bush, the person is power is usually the focal point of disgruntled and disaffected peoples. Discussing issues instead of shouting inflammatory slogans usually gets more people to your casue.
I support the ideals of the tea party (lower taxes and limited gov't), and even I know this isn't true. Unfortunately, many, if not most of them are as ignorant and stupid as... well, the average american. :(
The media spins it, they want you think we're protesting because the president is black, when in fact its his track record of promoting liberty-destroying ideologies such as socialism that have us pissed.

I don't think that these 'teabaggers' are employees of the goverment and members of a 'Labor Union'.
Therefore, the proper wording is to call this what it is, a 'protest'.
Educated? Maybe this information will help further your 'education'.

I don't buy it, Huckster.
The people who FUND the Teabaggers and support them behind the scenes fit your statistics, but not the morons you see in the trenches.
Read the signs. Listen to them spout their lunacy and Fox talking points.
No - the people you see out protesting are anything BUT thoughtful, intelligent, well-read, and educated.
The dumb masses are once again being used by Dick Armey, Koch Industries, and other right wing puppeteers.
bushputz 1 year ago
The difference between the Tea Party Protestors and the Obama supporters is very simple.....Tea Party protestors make thier own signs and dont get paid by the government for thier time. The Obama supporters need to just go to Craigs list and they can find a protestor job in the employment section. And they get a free government made sign and T-shirt too!! Losers!
rwoodward61 1 year ago
The level of spelling on some of their signs tells us another story. This is why polls and such are the biggest load of crap. Most of those teabaggers are exactly what everyone else thinks; bigot idiots. Why is it so hard for Americans to ask the obvious early on. I all has to be such high drama. All the media acts like they cannot do any reporting. Why don't they research and ask questions. It seems as if America never grows out of thinking Wrestling is real.

They're all racists.
franzsmr 1 year ago
@franzsmr the poll listed the highest level of education "indoctrination" attained, while not implicitly stated, can be inferred, by your observation, as well as adding up all the numbers. So tea baggers=99% total all=100%- btw I did not graduate high school, I am self taught.
particletheory 1 year ago
@particletheory Ah ok, thanks for the clarification. That makes sense. Faux Noise tends to use false statistics and because it wasn't clarified, I figured it was another attempt at duping their base. Of course, everyone can lie with statistics. They could just as easily have picked who they talked to and where, i.e. rallies at a college could probably bring more high school graduates than a rally near a ghetto. It just seems coincidence that they only began rioting after Obama came in.
franzsmr 1 year ago
@franzsmr lol, nice catch on the graphic. Wheres the other 71%?? Still waiting for their diploma?
fractalbuddha 1 year ago
@franzsmr
That graphic refers to the highest level of education completed.
It says that:
14% received a bachelors degree and did post-grad work
23% graduated but did not go after an advanced degree
33% had some college, but did not graduate
26% graduated from high school, but didn't go to college
3% didn't graduate from high school
I don't believe those stats. 70% of the Teabaggers have at least some college experience? 37% are college grads? Uh-uh - no way.
bushputz 1 year ago
@bushputz I'm not saying the statistics are true, I'm just saying that what particletheory said makes sense as to how the information was being displayed. Seeing how Tea Partyers are behaving, what corporations are backing them(FOX, Americans for Prosperity, etc), the ridiculous claims they are making, and who their leaders are, if they are truly educated then they must have thrown it to the wayside and de-evolved to illiterate bigots that went back to the Dark Ages.

Are they afraid of offending the people of that nation not involved w/ dictators?
whoo689 1 year ago
@whoo689 If Congress declared war on Germany twice, couldn't we do the same for Korea, Vietnam, etc.? It's not like the Vietcong were nice people, after all.
whoo689 1 year ago
@whoo689 Plus, EVEN IF there's a slightly larger number of "educated" (aka schooling) people than the overall population at tea parties, that doesn't mean a damn thing. Most Republicans have gone to prestigious institutions, and a lot of them were probably wealthy enough to pay for it. Republicans generally are more 'educated' in terms of college education, but I think that's mainly b/c they're better able to afford to go there.
whoo689 1 year ago
As you can see, Republicans today are, by and large, dumber than a bag of rocks and extremely anti-intellectual, superstitious and anti-science. Why should I believe that schooling makes you any more intelligent? It may make you more 'well-read' to a point, but if you've always been dumb, you probably won't get smarter just b/c of college.
whoo689 1 year ago 2
@whoo689 Some guy here trying to rebut this sort of point to me by pointing out that Gretchen Carlson went to Yale or some Ivy League institution, as if that somehow validates an argument that she's smart but "faking dumbness."
