I see your point on gay marriage, but equating the rights thing to a little kid bugging their parents for ice cream kind of trivializes it, don't you think? For both sides, even. Gays should have the right to marry because it is strictly a civil matter where the law is concerned, and there is no compelling reason not to afford them this right.
