  • Look like they were out to prove Darwin's point!

  • simple, make the Cyclists carry a big registration plate on them. Let the cameras deal with them like they do drvers

  • @DJSyKoh ,I very much doubt they will be bring a rediculous unusual law out for that, HOWEVER, having a reflector jacket WITH the number plate printed on, is often a better idea, and you would have to pay for one of theses from the DVLA about £10 and it's registered to the cyclist, it can be used for insurance purposes, especially if he drives having it registered to his car insurance if his insurance covers cyclist as well, you can fit a big fat "L" stick on back for unprofessional cyclist..LOL

  • That's absolutely horrible, riding with her seat 6 inches low like that. Tsk tsk.

  • stupid idiot, cyclist are not exempt from the law, and theses people wonder why they end up in accident.

  • @bluenapalm123 RUBBISH, I never smelt so much bull shit in my life, the amount of times, I have seen cyclist in south london, nearly hitting pedestrians on pelican crossings as they walk across to the other side, I have even recorded it on my phone, I support fines to be giving to cyclist who breaks the law, just because they pay no road tax and no insurance does not make them exempt from the law.

  • @markhorneyuk I agree that cyclists should obey the rules of the road as I do both as a motorist and cyclist but please don't trot out the road tax argument as it is Vehicle Excise Duty related to the emissions that are produced. Roads are funded from general taxation so everyone has the right to use them not just VED payers.

  • jesus- breaking red lights is one thing, but he shot through at full speed without even looking! Also, not sure what that female cyclist was trying to achieve by creeping forward before the lights changed. Cyclists face two main dangers- motorists and themselves.

  • @theoneandonlygames Or that is he commute route and he knows the timing of the lights, and its safer to get a head start from traffic lights ahead of traffic.

  • @theoneandonlygames usually the reason why they push themselve forward is to get a head start, I see it a lot, they then go off when the light turns green preventing too much traffic behind them, giving a chance for cars to overtake, I use to do it when I use to be a cyclist.

  • gees youre all boring ha ha, if you dont like it, go out there and do something about it, dont just youtube comment about it, thats not gonna do anything is it?

  • @foetusmusic, LOL, there's no point, if we complain, they don't wanna listen, in fact, I think they want cyclist and cars to crash and kill them to decrease the population of cyclist and vehicles on the road.

  • erk - a statistic waiting to happen i think.

  • No, if he'd been killed we'd have said 'fuck him, it was his own fault and consoled the driver'. I cycle down Newmarket Road and am just as appalled at the number of cyclists ignoring the traffics lights down there as I am at the number of buses who thing they can drive in the cycle lane and the number of cars that use the bus lane . . .

  • Am i missing something here? the bus lane markings anyway are invalid. check ticketfighter co uk

  • This is one of the reasons cyclists are being driven (pun intended) off the road by motorists who think we all flout the rules.

The roadworthyness, legality and manners of some cyclists are terrible. If he had been killed we would have morned another tragic death on the roads.

  • You hot the nail on the head, the few mindless idiots, but you can gurantee no matter what the cause, The driver would be the one having the finger pointed at being accused of dangerous driving.

  • Well, if they're not going to bother with a helmet or any other protection, they're hardly going to be bothered by traffic lights, rights of way and road markings... Comically, as a car driver (sometimes) the bus lanes on both sides of Newmarket Rd are a waste of space, no-one enforces them, so you can either sit and wait for 30 mins or dart up the 100m bus lane to turn left into Tesco...
