Square Enix and Nintendo are working together with quite a few games like fortune street and mario sports mix so someone like cloud or someone from final fantasy has a good chance of being in ssb4
I haven't played No More Heroes, but I agree Travis would be one hell of an addition.
And, while I agree I would much, much rather have Sora (especially since the enemies of the Subspace Emissary were Heartless in all but name, I MEAN, SERIOUSLY!), Geno does seem more likely (lasers are still pretty boss, though). AND, FUCK YES GIRAHIM. He is such an awesome bad-guy I'm upset we'll probably never see again. Personally, I'd also like to see Rosalina from Mario and Midna from Twilight Princess.

As a Capcom character I would like to see Viewtiful Joe. Alos I really enjoy the NMH games. Only if they make one NMH game with the boss whispers, driving mortocycles, walking in stores, using wrestling combos, and having the fun 2D minigames, with the great comedy and maintaining the controls from NMH 2 it would be in my top 10 games for a Nintendo Console.
Although, im 90% sure it will be zoroark, its possible that mewtwo will make a return intead. They usually choose this slot based on which one there is a new movie revoling around, and there is a new movie coming out soon about mewtwo, so its possible. Also, its far more likely for rayman to be the one in it, and, while i can see your point on this, i see the rabbids more likely being a side-b of rayman, like king dedede and the waddle dees.
They should bring a majorly-popular character back from Nintendo's past: Popeye. He had a successful NES launch title that was based off the super-fun arcade game. Yes, I know they'd have to get permission from King Features, but I can see it working.

@baneoftheoblivion Kojima doesn't make the Smash Bros series, he makes the MGS series. Plus they've already said that it would be on the Wii U and 3DS. I don't expect it on the Wii, in fact I don't really expect any Nintendo games to come out for the Wii after the Wii U comes out.
in terms of 3rd party characters i think that cloud or seporoth heck maybe evan noel and lightning could get in but for 1st party characters i say isa is a good choose
i agree with Mr.g (i dont even know how to spell his name) but what would his move set be? His final smash is simple just make him go insane like in battle 3 in his game with his big sword and everything!
I agree with what cjszero01 said at 3:45 that all three Pokemon should be put in SSB4 because then people will finally see who is better Lucario or Mew-two.
If Travis Touchdown ends up being in the next SSB, I will forgive all the game's flaws. I'm seriously wondering how much they'd have to tone down his family unfriendly nature though...

@misteridiot The Forbidden 7 was 7 charcters whose data was found in the disk of SSBB. The data is unplayable, but I believe some sound clips for Mewtwo can be heard (It's him screaming for his Final Smash). Some characters from Melee were set to return but were cut due to being clones. The only exception is Mewtwo who was the most developed and was cut last minute for Lucario. Look it up on SmashWiki it's interesting.

Square Enix and Konami are mentioned, Samus will be faster from Metroid: Other M, Tripping is removed, Neku from TWEWY is mentioned about Badges as items as a refrence, and characters from Earthbound and F-Zero might be removed due to no ideas for either of the Franchise.

@cjszero01 Actually, you're wrong CJ. While Sakurai did state he wasn't working on Smash until KI was finished, KI was finished around the holiday season and not released due to too much competition (via 3D land and MK7) so they delayed its release. It's by all means done so it's very well possible that Smash 4 has started to an extent.

@wiimannoob First party characters are characters or franchises that are exclusively owned by First Party Developers or companies such as Mario is a first party character to Nintendo just as the Halo series is exclusive to Microsoft. Third party characters however are from companies who are not owned by First party (Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft) Third Party characters are those that can be on all the other systems and not just one (such as Megaman, Bomberman, Snake, and Sonic).
Nintendo has actually partnered with Hudson to make some Mario Party games, and dating back to the late 80s and early 90s their franchises, such as Bomberman, Bonk, and Adventure Island, were featured heavily, meaning that they have a rich history with Nintendo.
Justification for inclusion: Level 5 is a huge supporter of the DS which had few new companies supporting it, helping with development of Recent Dragon Quest, Layton being their top IP, released PL& The mask of Miracle as a 3DS launch title (Best selling launch title btw), Capcom crossover(It owns, amIWright?), Animated movies(The Eternal Diva),Hugely popular in the US and even more in Japan
I actually agree with adding Travis. I mean, I would love to see some cool light sword moves, or maybe... his final smash could borrow off of Henry's insta-kill attack! now that, I would love to see.
I think bowser jr entering is much more probable than paper mario, mainly cause he had some passed experiences in some mario spin-off games, such as Super Mario Sluggers.
Little Mac & Isaac are in SSB already, for Takamaru, a new NES character is brought in every game, Zoroark due to the flavour of the month policy and Shulk because Xenoblade is a new IP with new characters.
Saki is already in SSB, Isa is newer. Geno has a massive fanbase, Zael & Aeron's game have been buzzing around for ages; if the US don't get TLS & PT you'll never hear the end of it *COUGH. MOTHER 3* and Nintendo have strong connections with Namco.
I'd think it'd be: 1st Party (in no particular order): Little Mac Shulk (Xenoblade) Zoroark Takamaru Isaac/Matthew 3rd Party: Saki/Isa (S&P is only on Nintendo, but Treasure is 3rd party) Geno Lloyd Zael (Last Story) Aeron (Pandora's Tower)
I'm just hoping enough people had enough money to be able to get them. Vaati's cool and is the only villain I've seen, to do what Majora can do in 3 days. Sadly it's only at one point in the game, unlike Majora's so yeah I suppose Majora is probably the most dangerous.
@TheNonNostalgiaCriti Midna's chances don't seem that good to me as her best chance would've been for Brawl. I want to say King K Rool has good chances but after DKCReturns and him and the Kremlings not being in it don't really seem to help his chances, though I still hope he gets in, otherwise what can they use those generic Tiki guys?

I'd personally love to see Travis in the next SSB. Not because I like him (he's actually a really unlikeable character) but because I like the game he's in. And why isn't Simon Belmont from Castlevania on the list? Simon Belmont's game was one of the biggest hits on the NES, and Super Castlevania 4 on the SNES only increased his fame. I'd say that either he or Alucard from Symphony of the Night are very likely to appear in the next SSB.
Also, Lucario did not replace Mewtwo. Mewtwo was planned for the game, but time constraints caused it to be dropped (there is a theory that suggests Sonic replaced him). Being part of the Forbidden Seven should prove that Mewtwo was never replaced, just a victim of time (the same can be said of Roy).
How are Magnus and Zoroark the two most likely newcomers for SSB4? Magnus is very much below Medusa and Palutena in importance to the series. If we get a Kid Icarus characters, it will be those two.
Zoroark is certainly a possibility, but "practically a shoe-in"? There are no characters that can be classified as such. Zoroark faces competition from Victini for a potential 5th gen rep and if the late is released late in 2014, they may opt for a 6th gen over a 5th gen Pokemon.
@Limelight760 I think Victini has the same chance as Mew & Celebi in Melee, and Jirachi & Manaphy in Brawl, while he does have a shot Zoroark seems more likely If you look at what Smash has done in the past. As for time circumstances Genesect would be the most likely 5th gen rep since his movie Should be out by then (Or at least close to.) On another note Deoxys Honen trainer Absol or Plusle & Minun have a high chance of getting in since the R&S remake's will be made by then.

Ghirahim is a little less likely, between Melee and Brawl no new LoZ characters were added besides Young Link turning into Toon Link, and as far as we know ATM Ghirahim's a one shot villain like Vaati, Skull Kid or Zant

I heard that King K. Rool, Ghirahim, Krystal, and Saki are planned to be playable with new movesets along with sketches of Gooey (Kirby Series) and Ridley. Square Enix and Konami are mentioned, Samus will be faster from Metroid: Other M, Tripping is removed, Neku from TWEWY is mentioned about Badges as items as a refrence, and characters from Earthbound and F-Zero might be removed due to no ideas for either of the Franchise.

@cjszero01 Actually, you're wrong CJ. While Sakurai did state he wasn't working on Smash until KI was finished, KI was finished around the holiday season and not released due to too much competition (via 3D land and MK7) so they delayed its release. It's by all means done so it's very well possible that Smash 4 has started to an extent.

@wiimannoob First party characters are characters or franchises that are exclusively owned by First Party Developers or companies such as Mario is a first party character to Nintendo just as the Halo series is exclusive to Microsoft. Third party characters however are from companies who are not owned by First party (Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft) Third Party characters are those that can be on all the other systems and not just one (such as Megaman, Bomberman, Snake, and Sonic).

Little Mac & Isaac are in SSB already, for Takamaru, a new NES character is brought in every game, Zoroark due to the flavour of the month policy and Shulk because Xenoblade is a new IP with new characters.
Saki is already in SSB, Isa is newer. Geno has a massive fanbase, Zael & Aeron's game have been buzzing around for ages; if the US don't get TLS & PT you'll never hear the end of it *COUGH. MOTHER 3* and Nintendo have strong connections with Namco.

I'm just hoping enough people had enough money to be able to get them. Vaati's cool and is the only villain I've seen, to do what Majora can do in 3 days. Sadly it's only at one point in the game, unlike Majora's so yeah I suppose Majora is probably the most dangerous.

I want to say King K Rool has good chances but after DKCReturns and him and the Kremlings not being in it don't really seem to help his chances, though I still hope he gets in, otherwise what can they use those generic Tiki guys?

I'd personally love to see Travis in the next SSB. Not because I like him (he's actually a really unlikeable character) but because I like the game he's in. And why isn't Simon Belmont from Castlevania on the list? Simon Belmont's game was one of the biggest hits on the NES, and Super Castlevania 4 on the SNES only increased his fame. I'd say that either he or Alucard from Symphony of the Night are very likely to appear in the next SSB.

Also, Lucario did not replace Mewtwo. Mewtwo was planned for the game, but time constraints caused it to be dropped (there is a theory that suggests Sonic replaced him). Being part of the Forbidden Seven should prove that Mewtwo was never replaced, just a victim of time (the same can be said of Roy).

How are Magnus and Zoroark the two most likely newcomers for SSB4? Magnus is very much below Medusa and Palutena in importance to the series. If we get a Kid Icarus characters, it will be those two.
Zoroark is certainly a possibility, but "practically a shoe-in"? There are no characters that can be classified as such. Zoroark faces competition from Victini for a potential 5th gen rep and if the late is released late in 2014, they may opt for a 6th gen over a 5th gen Pokemon.

@Limelight760 I think Victini has the same chance as Mew & Celebi in Melee, and Jirachi & Manaphy in Brawl, while he does have a shot Zoroark seems more likely If you look at what Smash has done in the past. As for time circumstances Genesect would be the most likely 5th gen rep since his movie Should be out by then (Or at least close to.) On another note Deoxys Honen trainer Absol or Plusle & Minun have a high chance of getting in since the R&S remake's will be made by then.
