  • ...And it's not metal. Its arena rock. The best arena rock song of all time.

  • this shit owns!

  • How the fuck is this shit heavy metal? Where's the growling? Where's the pig squeals? It's just some guy singing in a high pitched voice.

  • Not sure how long i've loike'd this track , but in England it seems loike forever !!

  • yeah, great song, great solo

  • yeee. I remember when I was young....forever

  • GONNA TRY AND DO THIS WITH OUR BAND GATECRASHER ROCK BAND

this'll get me gonads tightened up no doubt, but like tht1124 sez, so much energy.

  • so great

  • Wow!! I have so missed their sound and energy. Thanks for posting. Is this stuff available on CD?

  • @tht1124 Yes

  • Remember seeing these Guys back in 83 and they kicked ass and still rockin hard!! who ever said rock is all noise!! wake up and smell the coffee!!

  • this song makes ya want to get up..do something or drive fast..LOL

  • I love this song..Y&T still rocks....For-e-ever....And don't forget, great solo...

  • these guys remind me of spinal tap, in a awsome way

  • Saw them live yesterday and man, this gig was 1 of the best I've ever seen. What a performance, the guys were superenthusiastic, they played 2.5 hours !, the audience went bezerk. Forever was their last song and you can imagine really everybody went crazy. On my work now and again listening this song, can't get enough of it.

  • One of my favourite rock acts of the 80's Dave Menecetti is a fantastic guitarist !! I wish that I had seen them when they came to Glasgow.

  • i miss classical-sounding hm guitar soooo much !! no one knows how to rock anymore...

  • 1982 south of Fresno, CA looking at steros to buy, the saleman demo's a high dollar model with the new hit! I fell in love that second and have been a true fan since. About a month later Y&T played in a small hall in Visalia, CA - what a party! I saw them again in San Diego on their "Farewell Tour" after 17 years. You know Dave and his band are still rockin and we are lovin it - awesome - I can neve get enough of Y & T!

  • @poorbullcowcow11 They have played in Fresno the past 2 years and were great, suppose to come back in 2012 cant wait.

  • My friend turned me on to these guys back in the 80's . Didn't know what I was missing !! I actually dedicated this song to my wife at our wedding! The words say it all, and they had some of the best ballads you ever heard.

  • directo al corazon esta cancion

  • Aaaah, takes me back....

Though I am still a teenager

  • Y&T is performing a few blocks away from me, but its a bar, and Im only 20... FUUUUCCCKKKKKKK!!!

  • Always loved the music. Brings me back to high school back in the mid 80's when they where introducing these grooves.

  • Lead guitar, lead singer, tough to do. Mancetti had it down pat.

  • @irishpatrick12 It's "Meniketti", ya newbie.....geeesh...

  • Phil Kennemore produced awesome music

    RIP

  • ive met the bass player

    cool guy, cool guy

  • classic song! the guitar solo is fuckin beast!

  • Most underrated guitarist in rock. I've always thought so.

  • memories of friday night at the saxon tavern moshing like a mutherfuker to this beauty! CLASSIC!

  • I'm confused how some of you people think this is a ballad, wtf are you listening to? This is a totally fast rocking tune. I can't wait to hear it August 26th when my band opens for them in Sacramento!!!

  • never gets old man

  • nostalgic......Y&T 4ever \w/...

  • Dave=underrated

    Dave=GOD!

  • Y&T a reminder of when it took talent and heart and skill to make music

  • @Singerboy And when you actually had to be able to sing, not use computers to sound "good". Auto tune has ruined music.

  • @Singerboy Don't forget image....Metal and hard rock artists from the '80s all looked like real Rock Stars!

  • @Singerboy FCK YEAH!! I could not said it any better!!, todays music is a piece of crapp. (C RAP)get it ?? :)..I am glad my dad has a vast collection of 80s music and basically old skewl rock.. I love it I am a singer myself.. i look up to dave, bruce dickinson long live rock.. \\m//

  • @Singerboy it still does take heart and skill and practise to make music...

most stuff these days just doesnt qualify as music

  • This is what Y and T is all about right here!!!! the best hard rock band you could ever see live.

  • Im such a poser. A newly discovered band for me. Nice riffs.

  • Still LOVE these old school soundz from the day!used 2 jam these in the 80's!!cheers 4 posting!

  • There is nothing like a good love ballad, the girls just suck this shit up.

  • awsome liedje

  • Wow....can't believe I even remember this band....but soooo much fun live and they have good music....remember a show with the drummer J.Degrasso - Awesome show! Dave M. is gold with me, thanks for the pussy!

  • Totally Jams,,2 Thumbs Up !!! Anybody that says this song doesn't jam has a screw loose and don't know good solid rock/metal. R.I.P. Phil Kennemore.

  • whats up with the scorpions wind of change and y and t ?? y and t came first right??

  • @TheDerek619 Scorpions in 72 Yand t Ithink 77 They played at my highschool. Winds of change scorps and y and t was in the 80's to. Still different there is another winds of change but Y and T by far the best hands down. Dont get me wrong because I love the early scorps. Some of my favorite. Rescue me, forever, I believe in you, and winds of change. Egyptian sands rocks too. Yand T played the back up band in San Fran for over thirty years now and I still love em

  • What a classic. When metal broke big in Britain in the early 80's the band played lots of shows on this side of the pond and were always well liked. I can only guess grassroots popularity never translated into record sales. I will have this song played at my funeral. Awesome.

  • The idiot that voted this down needs a mental exam!

  • What a great band, iv'e seen them live about 10 times one of my favorites, they should have been huge. they are a lot better than some of the bands they opened for.

  • have always dug this song....R.I.P. Phil

  • rip phil :(

  • Y & T---"FOREVER"

  • chingona banda buena rola muro le hace buen tributo a su cancion

  • oh how I miss those days !

  • @visionmaster153

    me too my friend...

  • One of my first vinyl´s, so much feeling. The times when a record could hold more than one great song.

  • viva el rock de los 80 joder!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I totaly agree with you @mozz11. This so much for passion compared to the music of today, it fucking sucks!

  • RIP, Phil...

  • Phil was a great songwriter and he will be sorely, sorely missed. RIP and Thank You, Phil.

  • Phil was a great songwriter and he will be sorely, sorely missed. RIP and Thank You, Phil.

  • F**kin' A right, doggie!

  • reminds me of when life was worth living and music was music, not like the sh** they listen too today,as my daughter and son say, music is like candy its only good when you get rid of the rapper!!

  • R.I.P phil :(

  • D.E.P Phil Kennemore

  • EPIC!! takes me back when i was a kid and i would just rock the fuck out with my tennis racket \m/ i play "real" guitar now and love to rock out out to this album.so underated this band shudda been HUGE x

  • Hi kids, just saw these guys at the Avalon, in Sunnyvale, CA and they still rock as hard as they do when I saw them in Winterland SF in 1975. 36 years ago? Is my math right ? It can't be? But you know what?...come back in 36 years and see who is still rockin. It ain't gonna be Poison, and Shiterela that's for sure. If you think it's gonna be Kiss or some other Clown band, stick with the comic books and work on your Slipknot? WTF is that anyway? Meneketti and Y&T are the real deal FOREVER!

  • @billyjackskin The first live show I ever saw was Y&T with Black N' Blue as their opener. The most recent show I've seen was Y&T at Music in the Park in San Jose. They were just as good as I remembered the first time I saw them.

  • @DinsdalePiranha67

    Holy crap I'm jealous!!! ;-D

  • I started learning to play guitar in 1981 and this song brings back the awe I felt at trying to emulate the sounds of the great 80s metal bands.Grunge, and Nu-Metal almost killed my love of Metal.Thank God they have died in the arse.

  • @laiosto Yup; it was '80s metal that inspired me to take up guitar as well.

  • This is the definition of MUSIC!!! Y&T ROCKS!!!!!!

  • Such a great a band that had way more talent than the shit bands that got big: Cinderella, Poison, Tesla, and especially Bon Jovi. Compare Dave's voice to Vince Neil's and Motley Crue becomes an absolute joke, which they are. Those bands apparently had better management because none of them can even come close to Y&T in any respect.

  • Meneketti fuckin rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My grandma always kept asking "is it number 1?" No, the radio didn't recognize it at the time (mid 80's). Bless you, grandma :)

  • fucking great!!!

  • No video needed. The song reveals to all who listen. The guitar work alone is beyond words. Menecetti is in a class by himself. The band Y&T was the metal equivalent of the Beatles.

  • THESE GUYS ARE THE REAL DEAL.

  • dude bitching song

  • this song 4 ever rocks

  • This song blew me away, these guys are way underratered

  • This song blew me away, these guys are way underratered

  • first saw them support AC/DC at Glasgow apollo on " for those about to rock" tour....Brilliant! Many times after, latest was blowing Whitesnake off a few years ago!!

  • Fuukinn magic.

  • 懐かしい・・・。今聴いても名曲です!

  • yepp fu gooooooooood say hallo to marre:)

  • CLASSIC!

  • Ever notice the long scream Dave does at the end of this song.??.It goes on "Forever"..He used to be able to hold it,live, too

  • why this band isn't as huge as huge can be is beyond me . Great stuff ,thanks for posting

  • this song kicks ass from 0.00 to 5.47

  • i remember it too but not like our american pal..

north east of england. mayfair disco. geordieland. fridays. big lasses everywhere

    ha ha

  • man I remember smoking weed with my brother in his green grand torino out in our driveway when this song came out. we were smoking tai weed and when the lead solo came on it took me into a day dream unlike any other . listen to it its fucken great!!!!!

  • @sprayboy666 I was into these guys when i was 19, im 51 now my friend and still get a hard on when i hear Black Tiger, still shed a tear when i hear winds of Change. What a band

  • I like any music they do this song does stand out,but so many others do as well. Thanks for posting the song it is a pleasure to listen to it.

  • i think rescue me is best plus i believe in you

  • It's one of many songs they have that are equally powerful! You would be missing out if you left it at this!!!!!!

  • Yeah sure, but people state this is their BEST song, and I'm pretty much locked when it comes to pleasures for the ear

(Don't rate the comment down only because I have other perceptions then you have)

It just reminds me too much of things I have heard before. Sorry to say.

    Good song tho.

  • In Rock We Trust & 10 were better IMHO

  • @Soulfulshreddify ... probably because other less talented acts, have cut their teeth on Y&T, and have released the material after. Just because you just now heard it, does not mean it was unoriginal, it just means that you have heard the imitators, before you heard the originals. Rob Halford is quoted as saying this is the best heavy metal song ever written.

  • Y&T black tiger track list from the moon open fire dont wanna lose hell or high water FOREVER black tiger barroom boogie my way or the highway winds of change

  • Fantastic track from an alltime classic metal album.

The firtst 3 Y &T -albums are all masterpieces.

And also still a great live-band.

small remark : the albumcover is not from the album where Forever is on.

  • @Bridge1961 yes it is the album cover for Black Tiger, the album Forever was on.
