In terms of a point guard, Rondo is the better PG. Rose is kind of like Westbrook and learning how to play the 1 role because he can score almost at will like a 2 spot. But Rondo without a doubt is the better point guard.

derrick rose is the better period, rondo is great, but hes not as explosive as derrick rose, he can't shoot freethrows that well, and he doesn't have an outside game like derrick rose....

@kazekage321414 there is a comparison to Rondo because just cause he had an MVP season doesn't mean he's not comparable. Boston Celtics do not function without Rondo. In terms of a point guard, Rondo is the better PG. Rose is kind of like Westbrook and learning how to play the 1 role because he can score almost at will like a 2 spot. But Rondo without a doubt is the better point guard.

@kazekage321414 you're underselling rondo and overselling drose. his sort of athletic talent is showcased so well because chicago is an offensively challenged team. rose is a bulk shooter because he has too, and deserves the mvp only because his team can't do anything that he can. on the other hand, rondo is MORE than just a good player, he makes the celtics work. his ability to draw defenders off the drive and pass to make any teammate a threat is what makes him a great PURE pg...drose isnt

@kazekage321414 well, you're half getting what i said. they both have their styles of play that best work with their teams. he is a great passer, a decent 3pt shooter would hit it with the looks he gets his teammates, don't be dense. rondo can make any team dangerous, he got open looks for BRIAN SCALABRINE. he could do the same for chicago. the point is rose could be more of a distributor but he jacks up dumb shots constntly because that's what he's expected to do. get off rondo's dick

What was Brain Scalabrine PPG with all those open looks he was getting.
Rondo is an outstanding defender and very good play assist man, but your assist are only as good as your teammates knocking down shots.
Teams now are just backing off of him and guarding the pass, where as DRose is getting doubled every time he touches the ball.
Isaiah Thomas was a pg who could score that didn't take away from his leading the team.
DRose lead his team with out his main guys to the best record.

@1HelpingMany If it's an open look, you don't have to be a hall of famer to make it a high percentage attempt. Rondo makes bench players a threat. And you're right, people have figure rondo out because of his extended time in the league, which is why he needs to get a jumper.

Rose's supporting cast alone is a playoff team without him.. as you saw in the fourth quarter against the pacers in game 5 with rose on the bench

Without Rose the Bulls arent a Playoff team, they are Nothing more then what the Cavs were the Last 2 NBA Season's, best record in the NBA Then choke in the Playoffs.
