Dude you have the best sounding kit here on you tube. Mostly due to the mics and your awesome skills ;) (aside from your playing, but your ability to modify/change things around) ie no overheads, etc
Nice set up dude! When you started sound testing after the 4 count intro, I always think of Ice Ice baby because the the ringing of the toms in the background almost makes up for the bass in the song hahaha. Kit sounds sweet btw.
bardzo fajnie, teraz Ty się naucz mojego języka... ;p ...bo ja Twój zrozumiałem... dzięki za ocenę... zagraj z Kimś Kolego... bo jesteś dobry... POZDRAWIAM... YOU PRODIgy... THANx...
Awesome man, your drums do sound great, the maple sound can't be beat, and the fact that they are thin is a plus because its much different than the thicker Mapex nowadays. You yourself are pretty cool about it too, not like some other drum tour videos.
@nanopola I wouldn't, I would just save my money, but, then again, I'm a teenager, and, from what I hear, teenagers appreciate their balls more than most people.
hey man, would you say that paragon ride rings out a fair bit? because it sounds like it does on your recording but i know its a really heavy cymbal and right now i have the AAX metal ride and i dunno if it's cutting it. would you say its comparable to the AAX metal in ring and sustain?
Basically finger tighten all the lugs evenly, then turn 1/8 turns on each lug(star pattern) until the wrinkles are gone(Press after you turn, not during.) Now usually the smaller the tom the tighter I tune the head. Then lower tunes as I go from small to big toms.
Very nice tuning on toms. Are you using something like drum dial or you simply go with your feel ? Paragons are awesome, I wish I could afford the whole set.
hey gotta ask, your paragon ride sounds amazing im thinking about getting one but it was the ride or mics. does the ride still sounds good without the mics?
how tight did you tune your snare? i like the sound of it but i can't adjust it on my snare cuz its an electronic set but im getting an accoustic set soon
did you get this set of cymbals of thomann?? there is the same one on the site and this is the first place i have seen the exact same cymbals in size and everything.
i love you and the way your kit sounds but the things is there is a massive ring on your kick, sounds kinda cool actually, but you need to get rid of it. your still awesome tho
Wow! Nicely done! I've been waiting a very long time for you to give that tour. Perhaps the next tour can be how you record such a fantastic sound?? What to you use as a mixer/software and what to you record on??? You're Awesome!! Effortless drumming! Keep it up!!!
Dude, I've been watching your stuff for yonks. I dunno why one of the major kit machines haven't picked you up with some sponsorship yet. They need to send you on tour man. I pay good money to see you in a clinic. Peace.
You are an amazing drummer. I always watch your stuff and I don't play drums! Quit your day job. You can make a living doing this, I know you have a family, but you can do it. I did it.
Sounds real good man. I plan on getting all audix mics for my setup. D2 for the 10,12& 14 tom & D4 for the 16" & D6 for the kick. And for the snare the i5.
thanks for the tour i was wondering what cymbols you had i love the orian kit ,always have. i got the gretsch renown maple cause it was cheaper but it has a killer sound I love your cymbols you got a killer kit thanks again for the tour
Ah thought so, they sound awesome, really nicely tuned :) I'm using EC1's - very easy to tune, and get nice and high, don't even need moongel on my 8" :D thanks for your reply dude!
Awesome. But I still love your Paistes! I'm trying to earn money to upgrade my cymbals one by one, and I'm thinking of going with your 13" Dark Crisp hats and the 20" Dry Heavy Ride. For the crashes I was thinking 17" and 18" 2002 crashes. Awesome playing.
you have an overtone or a vibration getting picked up whenever you hit your bass. it sounds like an actual electric bass guitar. idk where its coming from though
I think it's mix between the bass drum resonating a bit, I don't have a lot of dampening on it, and the 10" tom is reverberating when I hit the bass drum. A little gate on the 10" tom will fix that though.
Thats... COOL!

it's definitely a heavy cymbal, i've got one myself, theres barely any wash at all when riding it, it's a very solid bang sound.

How do you tune you toms? Do you press you finger against the center of the head when you tighten them?
