  • dude you rock. i'm a beginner bassist and you've shown me the notes and fingering for this song, thanks for posting your talent and sounding all at the same time.

  • awesome ........

  • That's cheating! James Jamerson only used 1 finger! Nice job, though.

  • Awesome job! Are you playing it note for note memorized?

  • @MusicTrainerDotCom hey thanks man! and yes I memorized it!

  • @fleaargento That's pretty amazing. Did you learn it by ear or from notation? How long did it take?

  • @MusicTrainerDotCom Oh I learned it by ear, It took me about 3 nights and once I learned the whole line (still not perfect) I automatically memorized it, Thanks!

  • splendid video. great job!

  • Dear god man screw all this chums sayin that u dont got the groove...its hard to get this line at all so they can all go to hell! Great job!

  • Oh thank you SO much for the support man! I 'm glad you liked it

  • U got it bro....This is on my wish list 2 learn....will dig into it soon...grew up listenin 2 it..

  • Please listen to the original. Or at least YouTuber mikeybass777.

Old schoolers can tell how badly this one misses the groove.

    Good try though.

  • troll alert

  • i actually just checked out the other version, and this one is way better than mikey's check out my version too lol

  • Very, very good! What kind of bass are you using? Sounds like the Sx jazz. IMO they sound great! Whatever it is the tone is fantastic.

  • well enough played, but if you want to get technical, jamerson used open strings and stayed in half and first position as much as possible... anyone who plays upright knows the deal.

  • In my opinion, one of the best bass lines ever created (EVER) and you did a beautiful job.

  • Thanks a lot man!!!!!!!!

  • Man, Jamerson is the best. Where do those notes come from? You did an awesome job playin this tune!

  • Great job brother. I'm on the same "Learn to play like Jamerson" bass excursion and that stuff ain't easy. I'm on "It's a Shame" by the Spinners and Darling Dear is my next conquest but I've got some practicing yet before I play like you. Kudos.

  • Thanks bro! You should totally dig his style! its not easy! you've no idea what I've been through trying to learn this song hahahah! but it was absolutely worthwhile

  • You nailed it dude. I really enjoyed it.

  • Thanks man! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I like it too hehehehe!
