  • Many baby boomers talk too much trash. I can't stand hearing that stale "back in my day..." or "these kids nowadays..." rhetoric. They are stubborn and opinionated usually. Once they learn to listen rather than speak maybe they'll get better responses from this generation.

  • The divide that you speak of is Ego. Too many of us Gay men of color identify so closely with the bigoted and views and attitudes of the dominant culture. The way a lot of us socialize is dysfunctional. Dysfunction is encouraged within the Gay population if you critically examine the media and social outlets made available to us. I'm doing my work to make a change. It all starts with dialogue like this. Let's ask more questions people.

  • On a lighter note, dang, dude, I love it when you pop your fingers, I never learned how.

  • Justin, I hope that you are feeling well and strong this evening. I'm here.

  • Thank you for your comments

  • Thanks Justin, another great entry to the diary. It is so sad that people expect to get HIV. If only they could see what I see. HIV takes a little bit of my husband away everytime he catches a cold or a flu and I am totally helpless to stop it. He was man enough to tell me BEFORE we ever became sexually involved, but it still doesn't make it any easier to live with. As the saying goes "If you want to keep it, wrap it up!!'

  • without experiencing the devastation from AIDS up close, or losing close friends/family, as my generation did, can the young people of this generation, fully comprehend the threat of this disease. we have become a society that thrives on visual stimulation. if we don't see it, it's not that bad.

remember the Bush policy on not showing the dead soldiers returning to the states in coffins? it made war that much more tolerable for americans.

we only learn by visual object lesson?

    a tragedy.

  • Terry man you are so right

  • Very powerful as always. It is disheartening to hear youth with such a negative view. BUT you are definitely educating the kids. I love it. Your courage is always appreciated!
