Toyota make the only reliable 4x4's and 4WD's. You cant beat a Landcruiser or Hilux in durability or with 4x4 capability. The Prado is a road going 4WD, not a fulltime 4x4. 9 out of ten never are driven off road. It's a big wank (self indulgent fondling of sexual organ) for most 4wd owners who pretend they need a 2 + ton vehicle to go on holiday once in a blue moon. They usually end up clogging city roads with their masses of metal and use up dwindling resources needlessly. Mostly I think they are compensating for some personal deficiency. I'm hiring a 4wheel drive to go on holiday in the wilderness. I don't need to drive one around for 355 days of the year.
