I want to be an Au Pair when I am finished with school, but I am afraid that I won't be able to handle everything with the kids like all day.. Can you maybe tell me what you did on a normal day? I do look after my little cousins and so on and they like me all for what I do for them, but when I look after them its for about 2 or 3 hours.. :S

I really want to do this but you have to have a qualification in childcare and it takes a year full time to get the qualification over here. Great video, Chicago is so beautiful

Not at all!!! To be an Au Pair in America you don't need any formal qualification... you need experience and paciente!!! You must love kids, otherwise it is not such a good experience!!!

you shouldn't just fly over and move in with someone you don't even know. check out some sites, search at google! i'm gonna do it too when i turn 18 and have my license. Activity International tells you all you need. they check you and the family. good luck!

I love your video. I come from Italy and was a au pair for a year with AUPAIRCARE. Your video made me remember that. I loved it very much and the kids and family I cared for were fantastico! They live in Miami and I bring the kids to the beach almost every day. Not a bad life:). If I could do it again I would!

I learned English from being au pair too so now I can read what you are all saying ;) I recommend AuPairCare to everyone.

I had a really GREAT GREAT EXPERIENCE as an AU PAIR IN US and now in CANADA!!! My family always took me to trips, I had a car and they paid for gass and gave money for food, so I could buy whatever I want to eat. In Canada is the same now, my best experience ever and I even dont want to go back to my home country! No way! Am I crazy? haha :))
