I hope Diego pays Bernardo for all the pains he takes to give him messages. I also think one day Bernardo may be found out that he can hear everything.

Two things:

1.) It's HILARIOUS watching Bernardo try to tell Diego "M. wants to destroy Zorro" via Charades, and

2.) Alejandro (and, for that matter, the Alcalde) must be pretty bewildered about why such a dreamer as Diego would be willing to go to a dinner with someone he KNOWS Daddy can't stand - did you guys see their FACES?

@ronijmker Gene sheldon was particlarly famous for his pantomime skills, so writing would ruin the comedy, plus, servants in that era rarely learned how to write or even read for that matter.
