  • This game is absolutely amazing. I just bought the ultimate edition and have been playing as the Thalans(Insects from another dimension who have a weird tech tree) and it is great fun. I love it when alliances cause the entire galaxy to explode into war. The Torians, Drengin, and Iconians were allied, and me, the Humans, the Altarians, and the Arceans were allied, and I destroyed 1 Torian Starbase and instantly I see 8 war icons on the right side of the screen XD.

  • me gusta el video, y Tu?

  • As gloriously brilliant as GalCiv 2 is, I always hate it when trailers don't have any gameplay in them. It's like they're scared that people will be frightened off by the idea of a strategy game. That genre has always been huge on PC, so why the pretence?

  • Lol..Stargates.

This game looks great fun though. I remember playing Imperium Galactica 2 awhile back and that was quite good fun, I love CIV4 and CIV Revolution but always wanted a sort of space style one and this certainly looks the part, especially with the custom ship building..I just hope it runs on my laptop..1.66GHZ Processor and 2GBRam with a built in graphics card or something like that.

  • Excellent game :)

  • This is my favorite game to play on the PC. They need to make a third one! ( that's online )

  • Were do i save my edited stuf !!?!?!? I realy need to know were I can save my edited improvements !!! CAN ANY 1 HELP ME ?

  • Whats the difference between this and siins of a solar empire

  • much more to do !!!

  • ah and i forgott .. (gcII had a story) .. not a EPIC one .. but more than sins ^^ :)

  • This game is turn-base while Sins is real-time stragedy(RTS) Both games are great but it depends on your taste. If you are the kind of player who likes to think and take your time before moving ahead then turn-base games are for you. But if you like instant action with micromanagement on the fly then RTS games are perfect for you.

  • GalCiv is a turn-based strategy game while SOASE is real-time. But the main difference is that SOASE is more commercial, in that it appeals to more people because of the great graphics and a lot simpler gameplay then GalCiv. While in SOASE you only control the military and research, diplomacy and economy are very simple represented. In GalCiv you take your time and negotiate diplomacy, plan your economy, and per all it is a much much bigger and more complex game and requires a lot of patience.

  • I found SOASE had no real depth to the game after the initial figuring it out phase your left with a "thats it?" kinda feel. but i like the depth of GalCiv much better. Only thing, i wish GalCiv was multiplayer

  • @rahungry Think this is turn based, and you can design you own space ships in this one.

  • What do you mean by turn based?

  • @GhostVillain That you and your enemies take turns to move your units around, build units, collect income etc. Kind of like a board game.

  • @duckduden Thanks. That sounds kind of gay. Is it?

  • I find it ok, but it is all about personal preferances. If you are interested in this game you should probably check out some gameplay videos, to see what it is like.

  • @duckduden Thanks ducky. I bought it for ten bucks so I'll check it out. But I am thinking I might get that sins solar game too. Thank again dude.

  • @GhostVillain Turn based means you have the time to think. it means the game can be much deeper with much more strategy. It means that the game can be much more intelligent rather than a mouse-click fest.

  • is not turn based and is not like a board game; u can design your spaceships, u have a huge techtree, an "endless" universe and various enemy races. It is a rts, so there is a diplomacy sistem too...It's my favourite sci fi pc game until now...I hope they will make galactic civ. III...I think it will come out until infinity:the quest for earth is finished...;((

  • Best TBS game. Right now I play Twilight of the Arnor expansion and man... it's mind blowing. The only limit is your imagination. 5 stars.

  • looks really fun, we just got it but i havent played it yet. my brother did and he says it's really cool, since you can make custom ships and all. good game here, same with the first. This one is way better graphics and gameplay, though.

  • FIRST!! This game is bitchin. So good of a game. All other expansion packs are brilliant too.
