Honestly, all of them are wrong for this. Edge is wrong for dating his co-workers girl behind his back. Lita is wrong for even entertaining the idea of dating ANOTHER dude that she works with. Matt Hardy came out and gave an interview admitting that it was blown out of proportion and it was an emotional affair where Adam was pursuing Amy. Even Jeff Hardy talked about how stand-up Amy is in an interview from Oct '05, but the myth persists. People are so attached to this idea of her as a "whore".

However, I do think people would've embraced Lita again if she'd gone back to her risky style. In '06 the crowd chanted her Lita again when she did a diving huricarana on Cena, and again during the Lita vs Cena fight. They were eager to see Xtreme Lita again, so redemption was not impossible.
