@hotgta Those heater hoses from the shroud to the heater boxes are cheap. There made of metal or paper either one is good and there $1.39 a foot. That's stock. Also check out thesamba.com its a site dedicated to these air cooled vw vehicles. You can find all the stock parts there.
Legal ver que tem gente aqui que também gosta de vídeos assim, tipo esses de cold start. É interessante fazer ele em inglês porque ainda não tem "público" aqui no país pra esse tipo de video. Planejo fazer uns assim também.
Nice bug, but if you ask me you should move the fuel line with the fuel filter crossing the 'exhaust pre-heating pipe' . In case this fuel line will burst, trust its a hose (?), you will have petrol spraying on you exhaust = engine fire!

You might want to have the heater hoses put back on in the engine bay. That can cause over heating.

Check your choke and fast idle. It is idling too slow.
Since it is a VW Beetle, it probably needs to have the valves adjusted.
