GUYZ everyone with the problem with their gold/silver/crystal/red/blue/y­ellow games not saving, here is the problem: the game boy color games have a save chip built into the cartridge. When the gameboy color games were made, nintendo did a shity job of keeping them in place, so they will stay saved as long as you keep them face-up and don't tilt it much (so the chip inside isn't moved around.) if u shake it and here something inside, there is the prob.

when you have a gs ball, go to that shrine that looks like a house, deposit the ball and celebi itself, will appear to you, you'll turn around and you fight it... Celebi always appears in Ilex forest but the sad thing is the japanese version supports celebi not the american version

If you don't get the call then after u get the GS ball from when the SS Aqua sinks then go to a phone booth after getting some Kanto badges and call ELM. ithink it may be different 4 the beta 5 but this worked on the beta 4

i had the same problem, im sorry but u'll have to start over, and before u start the game make sure that u have the save settings set to flash 128K (Options ->Emulator ->Save Type ->Flash 128K). it's not a bug with the hack, but with the fire-red rom

ok let me help u my friend... what you have to do is get a US version of FR and that shiny gold.ips thing,put them both in the same folder then copy firered's name (make sure it doesn't have .gba)by this i mean there should b 2 copy the name of one without the .gba and put it infront of the .ips.

so if ur fire reds name is pokemon fire red you want to copy it onto ur shiny gold (which for eg looks like Pokemon Shiny Gold.ips) so ur ips should look like pokemon fire red.ips
