nah d3 is still awesome ! and yes it is full frame! i have no need for hd vid so would take a d3 over a d3s or even the d3x!!! plus the d3 is awesome up to iso 3200 and thats all you really ever need!!

I know the d3 owners got pissed off when they heard about the New Nikon D3s coz i would,first of it has auto sensor cleaner and hd video but not full hd, 12.87 mp and can shoot up to more than 100,000 ISO and at the same price as the old d3.

its not the same price and nah I'm not pissed off lol. the D3 rocks. I always shoot with a low ISO aswell so it doesnt really bother me. a good camera is a good camera lol. D3s is just to compete with Canon's 1d mk4

it isn't better. and if u use a 1d mkIII properly the 5d mkII would probably be the wrong choice for a back up... lack of frame speed etc... The D3 is better than the 1d mk III tho man seriously...

100% view finder coverage vs 95% on the d700

better seals on the d3 so unless you're being a goof ball with your lens swaps, you should be fine with dust and moisture.
