This is the best brake adjuster vid on youtube. My wheel is out of true and I thought I'd have to wait until I got a spoke wrench before I could ride it again. I can actually ride my bike to work tomorrow morning. Thanks for posting.

this was the best one yet. the others didn't talk about the tension springs having anything to do with the alignment. it's also a plus that one of the pads didn't align right in the vid. this was part of my problem. now it's fixed. thanks.

One thing to keep in mind with bike mechanics when adjusting or fixing is: never overtighten anything: "just enough" is the rule if you don't want to ruin nuts or screws, "feel the metal stretch"  and stop.
