I am a diehard Red Sox fan. I am upset that we the Red Sox Nation lost one hell of a manager. However I still see great things for my team. Thanks Francona for all of the memories. You will surely be missed. Good Luck on your endeavors.
He won't be unemployed for long. Guys with world series rings as managers are a small commodity in major league baseball and I wouldn't cry for Francona. He'll have a job either next year or the year after.
@govrom12 Oh I totally agree. I am not crying for him. I am crying for me. I really liked him and am going to miss seeing him in the dugout calling the shots every night.
@lmz9788 It's Boston's loss. The fact he was able to do deliver world series to boston is no easy feat but my god what a pressure cooker it is in that town. I live on the west coast now but I grew up in Connecticut so I know how baseball crazy they are in the northeast. It's kinda like how they are down south for SEC football. They have great fans in Boston but they can turn on you in a second and someone had to pay for the collapse and sadly it was Francona. He deserved better.

I honestly could see him in Chicago managing the Cubs if Joe Girardi doesn't leave the Yankees. I know Girardi wants that job badly but it would be hard for him to leave NYC if he's able to win a world series. Look for big changes to the Chicago Cubs and I would be willing if I were the owner and the GM to get a proven commodity as Terry Francona to manage the team.
God Bless Tito Francona. The GREATEST manager in Red Sox History. You will be missed.
