social platform is a good way to get in contact with people easily if you forgot their mail adress. thats the only thing what it is good for. guestbooks, status, comments is for persons without a social life and who want to produce theirself and get feedback on their personality and behaviour. A profile shows how you see yourself and how you want others to see you. Thats it.
