The reality is that Congressman Edwards has been ranked consistently by the National Journal as one of the most centrist house members. While he has voted with Democrats 96% of the time, he voting record only shows a liberal score of 53.7 this year (out of a scale from 1 to 100). Congressman Edwards is not a liberal, he is a moderate progressive.
