He did pee....On abc he explains that he opened the elevator doors and pissed down through the cracks...He also said he got very thirsty and did not have a watch so could not tell the time..Oh and he left the alarm wringing almost the hole time so he was flipping out.

He wasn't very clever. NEVER waste your urine, it's the only thing that can save your life. You can survive for weeks (well, ok, in a dry, and fresh environment where you don't swet) drinking your own pee while the body uses your fat reserves. Without this approach you'll die in 3 days, less if it's hot.

First thing to do: disassemble something from the elevator and try to build a cup ;)

If you mean that with every drink the urine will be filtrated, well it's obiouvs... but in a situation like that, what else can you do? It shortly won't provide any kind of nutrition but it will at least keep you hydrated for a longer time. Don't you agree? :)

no, that´s wrong.

drinking your urine makes you thirstier. you can´t help losing water in breathing and sweating, and that´s practically pure water, no salt. drinking your own urine gives you relatively more electrolytes as compared to water intake, so it actually dehydrates you more.

one thing that i know though, if you´re lost at sea, and it doesn´t rain, you shouldn´t eat fish either. it takes water to break down protein, so if you´re not drinking that, you shouldn´t be eating any protein either
